The specification and install images show the controls very close to the escutcheon plate. It's a nice look and why it was selected. The way this was installed, there is a huge gap between the controls and escutcheon plate. According to Moen, this is perfectly acceptable. It looks unfinished and like a mistake. Very disappointing.

Functions great but has a big gap (over an inch) in between the handle and the mounting plate on the wall. Also the seal around the key slot doesn't fit well so water can get through it. The plastic key/max temp adjuster have a lot of slop and don’t sit tight.

As seen even in the "stock" Moen photo, there is a large cosmetically ugly gap between the base of the handle and the flange ring. Even the fasteners are exposed, making it even uglier, and they aren't even symmetrical, yet making it look even worse. To limit this ugly gap the depth of the shower valve would have to be installed absolutely perfect based on the thicknesses of every material that will be used on your shower (fiberglass enclosure, tile thickness, backer board, etc.), which is nearly impossible. Some type of adjustable/collapsible sleeve provided by Moen seems like a reasonable solution, but nothing is provided. I cut a required length of 2.25" (2_1/4") O.D. (Outside Diameter) Stainless Steel automotive exhaust pipe. I then spun it using a hand drill to put a brushed finish on it using fine grade sandpaper. I abraded the inside of the handle base to provide proper "tooth" for the adhesive to glue this extension to the inside. I used Gorilla Glue super glue. I also ground the head of the screws to enable my manufactured extension to fill the gap as much as possible and limit the screw heads from being visible.

Looks good and has sealing ring on the back of the plate so you dont have to seal up with silicone And gives shower a modern look to it

Easy to install if you already have the positemp valve. Downside is the base of the handle is not flush with the wall plate. I installed 3 of them.

I ordered three of these.. Everything good but 2 of the adapters were defective.

Looks great! Goes well with the shower tiles.

Although recently installed, the product looks good and installation not a problem. I like it when it works.

Honestly… this thing is so smooth I will be replacing the other two in my house! I installed it myself about a month ago now and it’s still awesome.

It's nice and all that but the handle sticks out farther than I wanted. The picture seems to show the handle closer to the plate which helps it cover up the plate screws. But it's just not the case. That was the main reason I got it, but I'm not returning it.

This Moen trim kit has a beautiful finish and was very easy to install. The product has a durable feel and looks great in our new bath.

This MOEN Gibson single-handle posi-temp faucet trim kit in chrome earns a four-star review because of the difficulty assembling the posi-temp parts - which are a small plastic part with a miniature screw used to attach it.

Moen is the only brand I will buy. They have earned my trust and business over the years. I removed 22 year old trim from the bathrooms to modernize the appearance. I was totally impressed with how well the old trim still looked. I'm sure I will be just as pleased with the replacement trim. trim

It was reklativeli east install and gave a fresh look to a standalone shower.
