Easy installation but lacking critical partAfter researching various faucets and watching installation videos, we upgraded from an older MOEN faucet to this MOEN Essie faucet. The faucet was easy to install given my minimal plumbing experience and works great. It took less than 2 hours to remove the old faucet and install the new one. We've had it for two weeks now and don't have any complaints. The hose retracts every time and there is plenty of water pressure. The reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because no support bracket was included with factory sealed box that we picked up from Home Depot. Our sink is less than 1/2" thick, so we needed to install the support bracket and mounting bracket/washer to prevent the faucet from rocking side-to-side. The installation manual online lists the support bracket as "Part D" but the manual included with our purchase doesn't include that part (see attached image which lists the mounting bracket/washer as Part D with no support bracket). Everything I could find on Home Depot's website and MOEN's own installation videos led us to believe this part would be included (see MOEN's installation video here https:// youtu.be/z-kmWg9Vz7w?t=97). We ended up having to purchase the bracket separately, which ended up costing $20 after shipping and taxes. It also meant we had to reinstall the faucet once the support bracket came in a week later, as all of the hoses have to feed through the support bracket.
Overall, we like the faucet and don't plan on returning it. However, we don't appreciate being misled, having to spend extra money for a part that is supposed to be included from the factory, and having to install the faucet twice. If you have the chance, I suggest checking the box in the parking lot to ensure you have all the parts included with your purchase as advertised online so that you don't have to make a second trip.
