This is my second one of these. I purchased this 2 weeks ago. On first use, the plastic rod where it connects to the of the vacuum cracked the plastic and now the rod is loose at the base of the unit. I am very disappointed as Makita normally makes a high quality product. I would like a replacement or refund. This should not have happened on such a well-respected brand.

We love it. Bought to do quick spot vacuuming around the house. Three small infoor/outdoor dogs and two cats. It works great. Housecleaning lady loves it. Uses it all the time. Upgraded batteries to 5 amp hour. Only issue is cracking/crazing in plastic nozzle attachment neck. This looks to be a weak spot. Going to add a hose clamp lightly tightened to protect it

Great vacuum from well-known brand. Free baterry including. Works fine. I love makita tools.

It's a very portable & effective vacuum for the price. Don't expect it replace a shop vac but for small light duty quick jobs it works nicely. Do not vacuum anything wet.

This is our third handheld vacuum, over several years. First two lacked adequate suction and only lasted a couple years. Have had this Makita 18v LXT for couple months. It has plenty of suction, plus with extension removed is small enough to use on tabletops, desks, tight places etc. With extension attached, works well on hard floors.

First stick vac that actually picks up things off the floor. It also can be used as a hand vac with the extensions removed.

Works great. I purchased this for the garage for cleaning between projects, which is a constant. I've been using older 5.0Ah LXT batteries and generally get close to 40 minutes of runtime before the battery is flat. My daughter also bought one for me for a Christmas present, so now there are two of the vacs cleaning our messes. Great product, as always from Makita.

I returned it because it felt cheaply made and had poor suction.

I don’t like that you have to hold the power button the whole time. It’s shorter that I thought it would be. My husband likes that he can use batteries from his other tools.

The vacuum is a little heavier than what I thought it would be. It did well on the tile floor and not as good on the carpet area. I’m just using it in my motorhome.

Honestly upset I didn't get this sooner. I doubted the suction and had low expectations. Does a great job of small dust and debris.

works great, Should have built in battery charger, charging could done with out removing battery. No sure how long the slip fit connection will hold attachments together. Not sure long dust collection bag will last. Hard to get dust out bag. Small inlet opening is great but should be different style opening so unit would be better to use without adding attachments.
