This MAKITA 18-VOLT 5.0AH X2 LXT LITHIUM-ION (36-VOLT) BRUSHLESS ANGLE GRINDER KIT, cut the concrete like butter. Is has two batteries and when fully charged powers this grinder for a few hours of use. Switching the blades is easy with a little patience. It worked as it should and makes the finish of a job very quick and detailed to the end. Great investment in our business. This kit came with a carry bag that holds everything.

With two batteries on the charger, I never have to stop due to a low battery

This is quite a grinder and cut off saw. weighing about 12 pounds it does the job quick. I so appreciate not having to haul out the portable generator to do some small jobs around the farm. Cut off an old pipe that was in the driveway after we had graded it then switched to the grinder wheel and polished it off. Got a Makita general purpose diamond blade (Store SKU #154599) to cut some bricks to fix my mail box that was hit. This come with a bag that fits everything toss it in the atv and I am ready for anything. Another thing that surprised me was on the charging base was a usb port with a nice cover to keep the dust out so you can charge your phone or in my case play some music on mp3 player while in the garage getting ready

This is a 7” grinder. The kit comes with 2 batteries, a dual battery charger, storing bag, 2 grinder guards (slicing/grinding), a handle, a wrench, slicing wheel, and grinding wheel. This tool is very powerful for being battery powered. Don’t be fooled by the fact that it is cordless. This is a 36V tool and therefore 2 batteries must be installed at the same time in order to be able to power the tool. Full charging of the batteries takes approximately 50 minutes. The slicing wheel guard has a quick release feature for moving the guard around for different cutting angles. The handle can be installed in both sides. The tool weighs approximately 13 pounds with batteries and ready to go. There is a printed arrow on the tool to match diamond blade rotating direction. The tool comes with an automatic speed change. What that means is that the tool will auto adjust its speed based on the loading condition. Awesome tool too have around the house if you do any steel, concrete or other kind of heavy duty cutting activity.

If you are looking for a powerhouse of a grinder for a professional environment, you just found it. The new Makita LXT cuts or grind anything you throw at it, and the build of this tool is extremely impressive Contents of the Kit: Fist off, you get (2) 5.0 AH batteries in this kit, as you will need both to operate the grinder. The duel battery charger is also a huge plus, as you can charge both batteries at the same time. You also get two different guards, handle, grinding disk, changing wrench, cutting disk, metal flange and a very nice carry case. Build quality: This grinder is built to handle any environment that you use it in. Every moving part is made of metal, (NOT PLASTIC) and is very comfortable in the hand. It is a bit heavy at around 13lbs, but that's what you want in a tool like this. Even the guards are made from thick steel that will take much abuse. Power: I can say that I have never used a tool with so much power in my life. At 7,800 RPM (36V), I can cut through concrete with little to no effort. Even though there is an indicator light on the tool to alert you of load/overheating, I felt no resistance or slowing down while cutting. When you squeeze the start lever, you can feel the torque in your hand (impressive) Batteries, As for the batteries, they are the 5.0AH, and last a very long time. They are protected buy a welded metal roll cage to protect them from damage incase you drop the tool. They take about 40 minutes to charge, but they do last a long time even with heavy use. The other nice thing is that you can use these batteries on many other Makita tools, so that's a big plus. Cool features: I love that this has an electric stop on it. The blades/disk/wire wheels stop immediately once you let go of the trigger. The guards are also very easy to change out and tighten, as the main guard hand a nice tightening lever on it. The grinder also has a removable air filter that can be cleaned out when it's dirty, and the fact that it's brushless is the cherry on the cake. Summary, Listen, this Makita Angle Grinder Kit is unbelievable. The power, build and all around ingenuity that they put into this tool is second to non. Try it and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Fast charging the 5Ah in 60 min

This thing has power like a corded grinder. Yes, it’s big and heavy, what else would you expect? It’s a professional grade tool, hands down. Don’t ask about battery life. Look, cordless angle grinders suck down batteries. Period. If you need to run constantly, get corded. That’s the case with any brand. If you need this size and this kind of power in cordless, buy this one and get an extra set of batteries (or 2 even) to have on the charger. One thing that helps, let the tool do the work - the harder you lean into it, the harder you bog the motor, and the shorter the battery life. This thing will cut just as fast as it can (and it’s fast!) all on it’s own.

The charger gets very hot and takes a long time to charge the batteries

Easy to use easy to charge

Batteries last no time in this beast. Used it to sharpen mulching blades on a forestry mulcher. It went dead after about 20 minutes of grinding.

Everyone is always short on workbench space. Why wouldn't they make a wall bracket? I'm going to fabricate one with 1/2"flat bar stock mounted externally. Circuit board is to close to case to mount anything from inside of case. Charger works great. Ps it would be nice if reviews are just for item your looking at. I don't really care about saws or drills etc. When I want to read a review on charger
