If the drain valve was placed on top of the tank I would give it five stars. At the bottom it's easy to snap it off and I have snapped it.

Great compressor. Would like to have the motor be continuous-duty rated, and the couplers be better, such as Prevost brand safety coupler or another comparable coupler.

Great machine! Please note!!! I must correct the labeling. The 2 CFM @ 90 psi is incorrect. The label on the tank states that it runs 6.5 CFM @ 90 PSI. My air tools won't run at 2 CFM. This compressor delivers! Is has space for air hoses and also a small storage bin.

I have been building a shed and used this compressor for the nail gun and siding nailer. Prior to this current work, I only used it for trim and finish nailers on a few small projects around the house. I purchased this compressor believing in the Makita brand and that it would last me 10 or more years. A few weeks ago, it started having problems starting. The oil level is fine and clean. It now only turns the pump a few times, then will just buzzes then I turn it off. Very disappointed.

I've been using this air compressor for months now, and it does everything i need it to do. Very well built and a joy to use.

This Makita compressor is pure quality! It has dual outlets, quality design, light weight, easy to move around, it's quiet outdoors, and has been designed very well. with dual line storage hooks, easy access drain valve, on/off switch and regulator for just the pressure I need.

Great compressor, very powerful and well designed. Quieter than some but not very quiet. Good news…it cold the tank very quickly.

I've had this Makita compressor for about a year. It replaced a portable Ridged that kept blowing lines between the pump and regulator. This Makita is noticeably heavier but is by far superior in every other way. Definitely the best portable compressor on the market hands down. If you want top of the line that will rival some vertical compressors, this Makita is the one to get.

This compressor is (and has been for years) plagued by a fatal defect: It stalls after a few minutes of use. I had only used mine a few times when it started seizing up and blowing its own (NOTE: its OWN, not the house's) circuit breaker upon trying to refill the tank. I had it serviced under warranty. The repair guy of course could not reproduce the problem, but he replaced the check valve. Still stalls in minutes. AVOID. Search the Web for "MAC5200 keeps stopping"

I have used the compressor once so far. Works great. Plenty of air volume. A little awkward to move around. Wheel placement and size could be better. This was purchased as a main job site compressor. It will do exactly what I was looking for. I will purchase a smaller, super quiet compressor for the in and out, one day jobs. Very happy with my purchase.

Great product! High build quality. The Big Bore builds up pressure quickly. A tad bit noisy, but is fine outdoors. Large tank supplies air for a while depending on use.

Built like a tank, one of the most well built compressors that I have ever seen. I was surprised that I had to perform a no load break-in operation for 20 minutes. Works great and is relatively quiet.
