3/8" Snapped on First Use
I'm a huge fan of Makita tools and just recently started buying their accessories (blades, bits, etc). My first time using these bits the 3/8" snapped at the neck only seconds after starting. As I was only drilling into a plaster and wood lathe wall, I have to assume that there's was a material or manufacturing defect. I've never had this happen with another brand or even another Makita accessory before today.

worst bit i have ever gotten
I got this bit because i needed to replace some of my okder bits. I have had nothing but headache using them. One bit snapped off, one bit actually came loose because the item that holds the bit in place got lost when i tried to drill into a 2x4. The 3rd bit was the one that got the job done. Shake my head.

Shameful product quality. I understand that these are cheap bits. I bought these cheap bits to use in my little 12v hex driver, just as a matter of convenience. The first time I used one, I tried to drill through some 1/8" thick brass. I got about half way through it before the bit grabbed and the flutes started to unwind right before my eyes. I would say that these must be made of butter, or perhaps cheese, wrapped in some shiny gold foil. Makita - I have no idea why you would put your name on these because it is causing me to question my power tool purchases.

makita should be more selective what they put their name on!
better bits at harbor freight for half the price! these are great if you're trying to melt through plastic, but they even struggle to get through wood and leave a messy hole! 1 broke (pushing too hard to try to cut through sheer metal), 2 came out of the 1/4" sleeve, the others just burn up on anything metal. worst ever purchase ! (sorry for the typos, this app is terrible to correct mistakes, so I have to submit a is- work with me here, point is DON'T BUY THEM)
