I wanted to share my photo of the engineered wood Malibu Floor Collection in hopes to help others like myself. I ordered 3 different finishes because unfortunately, there are no large displays at H Depot with this product and there are so many color options to select from! I kind of randomly picked 3 I hoped would work. You can order and pay for small samples online, but due to their size, it is really hard to tell the differences in colors. I will say they appear to have a barely there finish and I can imagine some splintering happening due to the sometimes slightly rough edges. I hope we won't have any issues after install. I love the way they look though! The picture represent Belmont, Tunitas, and Salt Creek. Starting left to right. I personally love Belmont and happy that one of the 3 will work. Tunitas is much lighter and not as warm and Salt Creek almost has a gray/green wash over it. They all are very cool in their own way.

I just completed installing the flooring portion in our bedroom and found the quality of how the planks lock together to be excellent. The finish is nice. The packaging to protect the faces of the planks was excellent. I used a 60 teeth 10" radial arm saw to cut the planks which worked quite well. I also used a jig saw for the detailed cuts (Bosch multi wood blade), again that worked quite well. I still need to add the base board, very pleased with the outcome.

This Malibu Wide Plank Flooring was a perfect floor for our timber frame great room. The color is Salt Creek. A very easy install and a beautiful finish!

Easy install, love the random lengths. Gives a nice clean look. Floor must be exactly flat or this flooring creeks, cracks, and gives at every step.

The boards click together very easily and securely. The flooring looks beautiful. From our brief time having it, it seems to be very resistant to scratching. At least we did not scratch it with all of the tools we had out while installing it. We used Maverick 3/8 inch and installed it in the entire house.

Our new floors were very easy to install and made entire room look far brighter and larger. Highly recommend for the price.

Goes down easy and looks great. Just spread out boards before installing to blend tones. Have purchased more to do the living room.

I have remolded many floors using every possible type of flooring, glue down, floating, nail down, etc.. This was my first experience with Malibu Wide Plank. The packaging was great. Not one damaged board. No dented corners. No cracked tongue. Colors were consistent and assembly was very easy. I will be using ONLY Malibu Wide Plank going forward for renovations. If you are looking for a top quality flooring with a high-end appearance, I highly recommend using Malibu Wide plank.

We shopped around and looked at several retailers for vinyl, laminate and engineered hardwoods to replace 600 sq ft of carpet in our home. We choose the Malibu Wide Plank from Home Depot in the French Oak Mavericks and we love it! We are extremely pleased with the product and are now considering it extending it on into our master bedroom! My husband said it was easy to work with and he had no problems installing the flooring himself. We love our new floors and we highly recommend the Malibu Wide Plank engineered hardwood!

putting in new floors in living room, dining room, and den...easy to install, looks great, really brightens up room compared to previous darker floor...wish the ends locked together a little more, but not that big of a deal, just make sure to tap each piece from end...would certainly recommend.

We removed the carpet in 4 bedrooms and our contractor installed this flooring with high-quality Pergo underlayment about 3 months ago. We did a floating installation and did not glue the seams. The flooring feels nice and sturdy in most places but there are a few places where perhaps the floor underneath isn't perfectly level so it squeaks in just a few places. It is a true dark walnut with no red undertones. It is rustic yet sleek and looks high end. We have received many compliments on the flooring and especially the width which makes the bedrooms look larger and more grand. Shipping was excellent and we literally had no damage whatsoever. The boxes are heavy so be prepared to have help unloading them off the pallet. You need to acclimate the flooring in the rooms you plan to install the boards in, so plan for 2-3 days of acclimation to ensure the boards don't expand or shrink too much once installed. There are shorter planks in the box which we spaced out enough that they don't stand out. I love this flooring and hope it stands the test of time. Absolutely recommend for the price and value!

In April we installed this flooring in our LR. We liked it so much that two months later we installed it in our MBR and closet. Now we're considering the same flooring for two more bedrooms.

After a month of searching we found our perfect floor - Malibu Wide Plank French Oak Salt Creek 1/2 in. Thick x 7-1/2 in. Wide. We were striving for timeless, natural, Scandinavian look. We looked everywhere and bought at least a dozen of boxes of different flooring (defiantly recommend buying a box of the floor you’re considering vs relying on a small sample usually found in stores). This floor looks more “cohesive” / one color when looking at the entire room than what you can see in pictures. Being engineered hardwood it’s obviously a little harder to install than laminate but totally worth it! Also keep in mind each box has 5 different sizes and the design of the layout it’s all up to you. Finally, we had an amazing customer service experience at our local Home Depot. I just finished renovating my condo and had this flooring installed throughout (except the bathrooms). It's exactly what I wanted - a light finish that brightens the space without being white. FYI the samples can be misleading because the one I received looked very white but I kept coming back to the pictures in the reviews here (which were very helpful) and made my decision based on what I saw there. There's a bit of variation so some sections look lighter or darker so it really depends on where your sample piece was cut from. Overall the look is great and makes the space feel bigger, brighter and more modern.

I absolutely LOVE this flooring! It's quality material and was easy to install. Had to replace 2 year old carpeting due to allergies. Used 6mm cork underlayment for more comfort, less noise, and it's hypoallergenic.

Purchasing these floors was by far one of the best decisions I have made. These floors are beautiful, feel amazing if you walk barefoot and I have heard nothing but amazing things from everyone who walks into my home. The only part about this experience that wasn't good had everything to do with home depot and their delivery and customer service or lack there of as well as the third party delivery vendor forgetting my order, loosing track of my order, calling a million times to get the order, and delivery being missed over and over again, but none the less, the floors are amazing once I got them. They look beautiful in the kitchen and seamlessly flow into the living room.

These floors are AMAZING! I'm doing a full house reno and I have gotten more compliments on my hardwoods than any other thing by a long shot! They are exactly what I was looking for and look so much more expensive than they actually were. I've had them for three months and they still look perfect (as expected), don't show any signs of wear, and are even great in my powder bath. I highly recommend these! PS all pictures were taken at night but they still show the color very accurately, except for the bedroom which has less light, so the floors in that picture look slightly darker than what they actually are.

I’m a developer of high-end condos. We use this product alongside much more expensive finishes and we’re able to save a great deal of money. Indistinguishable from a $25/sqft alternative. Check out photos of latest remod in Santa Monica, CA with Mavericks French Oak floors. We have this flooring throughout this project and it really looks phenomenal. The coloring of mavericks goes well with an extremely pale white/green, I’d go for a different color of floor from the same company with gray walls. Wish I could share more photos but HomeDepot’s mobile app seems flawed (pun) in its ability to do this.

We recently had this flooring installed in our basement. Our contractor said it was easy to install. It looks beautiful - a lovely light and beachy feel. We have two kids and two dogs and we haven't noticed any scratches or marks.

Floor turned out beautiful. It has lots of variation in color. We wanted something with gray hues but without making the room all gray. This is perfect. Easy installation. Beautiful result.

We love the way the large planks, knots, grains, and textures all come together to give such a sleek and contemporary look. We liked the more natural sheen, and cleaning has been a breeze over the last month since it has been installed. Color looks different depending on time of day and type of lighting, but we have no issues with that.

It's been two months since we finished installing our new Oceanside floor. My husband and I installed it ourselves. It's very easy and took us one week for around 350 sq fts. It gets harder though with small spaces because you need to be careful about sizing the board and cutting it to fit the small corners or under the door jambs. Positives: - the color ( dark and matte, no shining) - the appearance - the sizes of boards were perfect for installation - very easy to install - the buying online and delivery experience was great, we had no problem with that. Negatives: the only negative thing about this flooring, and that's the cause I'm not giving five stars, is the chipping of the surface with mopping. It's not gross chipping though, but it happened with me twice; when I clean the surface with dry or wet mopping, I don't feel that the surface is smooth and it traps some cotton from my mopping pad, and also two chips from the surface happened with mopping ( I attached pictures). I hadn't had that with my previous home's hardwood flooring. I used to feel the smoothness of the surface when I clean. If the floor color is light, its not a problem, but our floor color is dark and chipping becomes clear. Some installation tips: 1- We really recommend using tongue and groove glue to avoid any separation between the boards while working. we're recommending that because it happened with us although we were very careful about clicking the boards securely and tightly together. 2- Be sure that the floor you'r installing on is leveled, or you can pour a leveling compound; after we installed the floor we found that there was a slight slopping that caused board separation but we got that fixed.

We installed these in our teen daughters room. She loves the light look of them and the feel. They were very easy for my inexperienced husband to install.

We were looking for a light colored engineered hardwood that would not break the bank. We ordered about 8 samples of Malibu Wideplank and ultimately chose the French Oak Salt Creek for its tone, it was not too pink or too gray, but rather more tan with a golden undertone. Exactly what we wanted! It has a matte finish, so if you want glossy this is not it. Our installer commented too how easy this was to put in and how high quality it was, it made his job go smoothly too, so that’s a huge plus! I will definitely use this flooring again for future projects. Love it.

I looked at lots of different flooring options and am so happy I went with this option. I love the unique look of the wide plants and get lots of compliments on the color since they brighten up the space. Highly recommend! No issues with install.

Love this floor! we've had it about 6 months and so far we've had no issues. It is very thick and feels really durable. Also it is easy to keep clean, as dust and dirt are very hard to see. Would do this floor again in a heartbeat if we did another remodel.

I LOVE THESE FLOORS! I love the light wood tones, and variations of knots and grains. I have golden retrievers who shed and have dirty feet, and they are easy to clean, and don't look dirty all the time. I can also drag my furniture around, without it scratching or making any kind of mark. I did my whole first floor in them, dining room, living, room, kitchen, and entry way.
