I bought 4 sets of these for (2) 48"x80 3/4" closet openings The front and back face of the door panels looked fine, no complaints. The issue is with the top and bottom framing material. As you can see from the attached photos the material looks like cardboard. The factory predrilled holes for the pivot hardware are not centered and out of alignment. The doors won't track correctly and the faces don't match when closed. I would have returned them. Unfortunately I painted most of them before installing.

First-timer review. I bought two doors for a closet to replace some aging ones. Before you begin: - You will need to pay attention and make sure all parts match up. - A second set of hands is highly recommended. - I highly recommend removing any clothes or items you don't want getting dirty from the closet so the mess from any drilling doesn't get on them. - Tools I ended up using: drill driver to enlarge the hole,impact drivers for all the screws and pilot holes, a flat screw driver for adjusting the doors' height from the bottom, a pencil for marking all the holes, and a flashlight which came in handing when adjusting the doors from the bottom due to the carpet being a little higher than the jamb bracket. - All in all, almost three hours to install two doors alone, including cleaning up. Both doors came with slightly different sets of parts and directions. One set had the extra set of directions for the door pivots installation on a small piece of paper. The other set had the directions printed on both sides of the plastic bag that contained the parts (so be sure to check before ripping any bags open). One package also had a extra part. The top track for one door was painted white. The other was unpainted. The directions make no mention of which screws go with with part. On top of that, both sets came with screws that did not look the same. For example, what eventually turned out to be the screws for the top track were flat head in one set, and pan head (round-shaped at the top) in the other set, leading me to momentarily panic that I had used the wrong screws on the first track. Pivots were the most challenging part. When installing them, the top part of the door on one of them came loose. I had to repair it with some wood glue and it seems to be holding up fine. I also had to open up the same pivot in order for it to fit flush. The holes were also so tight that the top pivots, which are spring-loaded, would often get stuck after being installed with light taps. This made installation very difficult at times, especially when adjusting the bottom pivot. I had to use pliers to loosen them up often. The doors work. Nothing special. Due to the issue with the top of one door being weak, having to enlarge the hole on it, and the non-matching parts, I feel that quality control is lacking. But they work.

These doors replaced my outdated aluminum shutter doors for my linen closet. It gave a whole new look to the space and did the job for the cost. Was very simple to install, even for most non-handy DYI type folks. I'd recommend these to anyone looking to update their doors on a budget.

I was very disappointed to see that the inside edges of the bifold panels were not finished and primed, which caused me a lot of extra work. Also, why weren’t the bottoms and tops finished and primed? I called the Masonite help number and they told me to go to the Home Depot store to get a purchase order number from you so I can get a partial credit

The panels themselves werent bad. Though they are tender and do not tolerate bumps well. The hardware was less attractive and sturdy than the 60 year old stuff I was removing. One piece actually broke during installation. Maybe I was expecting more than I should have for the $110,00 price point, But I had better expectations

Ok… height adjustment screw keeps screwing in, which means the door keeps lowering and falling out of tracks Other than that, its fine

Can not hang doors because holes are not right

I bought two of these and both had the same problems. 1, neither came with the piece to connect the tracks to make one. 2, the plastic cylinders you install in the top of the door that go in the track have little springs in them. Once installed in the predrilled holes, the springs lock up and do not work, so now you cannot make any adjustments, and installing and removing the doors is a complete pain. I should have stuck with the JELD-WEN doors, they actually work.

A little challenging to install, otherwise it's fine.

Slightly warped but good for the price. I let them lay flat for 2 weeks before installing them. It helped flatten them out but still not perfect.

I tried to trim 1.5” off the bottom but hit the hollow core. My bad…I should have realized these doors can not be trimmed.

It’s a great looking door. Easy to install. The client chose a different model

Pivot hardware didn’t readily fit into the pre-drilled hole. When forced it compressed the springs and wouldn’t operate. Had to buy new hardware and bore out the holes more.

As expected, good quality sized correctly. Other brand stores told me this classic design was no longer available, so thank you Home Depot for coming through. The track hardware has a different spring end tension device that fills the interior of the track meaning the track screw head sits too proud so I had to wrangle up a lower profile screw but it was a minor annoyance. I’ll check with the store just to make sure I’ve installed it correctly. The only other difference from other similar purchases in the past was the arch panels were on the inside too which don’t get scene, but that may be the current configuration for bifold doors, I’m not sure. The inside doesn’t get exposed to viewing.

Be careful adding the wheel on the top not to drill the it too deep.
