work good but only had it for 2 weeks air-conditioned runs a lot less easy to install

like the fact that the vent cap and bottom plate are galvanized steel instead of plastic

Working well. Hard to install as a replacement fan with shingles already done

These power vents last about 7 years. They are easy to change out. For the cost 7 year lifespan is fine

After 2 years the motors freeze up

The 1000 CFM exhaust fan does a fine job cooling my walk up attic. It moves a lot of air and is very quiet. Very satisfied.

Bought this to replace the motor, fan blades and thermostat on an existing vent. Didn't need the housing but that was okay for the price. Good value and great fit into existing vent housing.

I upgraded my house from swamp cooler to AC. Once I demolished the swamp cooler and the lower half of the ducting where the air entered my house, I still had to do something with the old roof jack that the swamp cooler was mounted over. Basically it is an 18"x18" square box sitting on my roof. Yes I could have demolished it and patched the hole with sheathing and roof shingles, but my HVAC guy suggested I put an attic fan there. I already had power installed from the swamp cooler so why not? My attic isn't terribly big so I bought this unit. The fan and motor is mounted on a 25" x 25" galvanized metal plate. With my 18 x 18 opening, I made some cuts to the new unit and did some bending to fit the new unit right over the square box like a cap and screwed it down on all 4 sides. Then I wired everything up in the attic and was good to go. It came with a thermostat so I made sure that it was mounted on a truss. It started cooling my attic immediately and I can already tell that my AC isn't working as hard. I could have demolished the roof jack and placed the fan and motor just under the roof deck like the instructions say but it is hot outside and I needed to get this done now! BTW, it's not painted.

Made a huge difference in my attic. My AC didn’t turn on until 4pm and it was 100degrees outside. I had it set to 105. You can slightly hear the fan but nothing unusual or annoying. Worth the upgrade

Thermostat doesn’t work properly

I wish I could have reviewed and purchased this in the store. Online only. However, it arrived on time. Appears to be good quality. Installation was easy and it's a LOT more quiet than our previous attic exhaust fan.

This is the 3rd one I've bought. The first lasted almost 10 years to the day. My 2nd one lasted for barely over a year. My third replaced this month (November) has not been used much due to the weather. So this makes it hard to actually rate this line of fan.

Easy to put it and working good so far after 6 months

This attic fan was the perfect upgrade to a slightly smaller one which had died. It was easy to install, and compared to the older one it is very quiet.

Excellent purchase. Fan is quiet and current draw is around 1.2 amps making it energy efficient.

The last one only lasted 18 mo this and had to be replaced. I only bought this item because it was the only one available at the time.

I used the last fan parts in the old housing. Worked out great, no roof work needed.
