This was exactly what I needed to correct an oversight from previous homeowner.

Nice. Slightly smaller than the short way 90s sold at competitor. Easier to fit into tight spaces.

I returned this product

I bought 3 of these at the store. One was as shown here, the other two were rounded with crimped edges. I cut and bent all of them to join them to 10x3.25 ducting with S and drive cleats. The rounded version were easier to work with than the one pictured.

Installed a new range hood slightly higher than the original. Connected 2 of these to make an "S" shape to attach to outside vent. Went together without problems and works as I intended

This product is sturdy, the seams are tight, and it fit properly into the existing duct work. Very pleased. Will update if any issues noticed with use.

This item worked perfectly! The builder, who constructed our home in 2005, put a 6 inch round vent directly behind the microwave and some metal lining along the inside of the outer portion of the 2x4 constructed wall. Since all current day microwaves come with a 3×10 recrangular vent. He just let it blow into the wall without any ducting! Luckly, the microwave multispeed vent fan was rarely used. I discovered his shody construction pratice when I replaced the original, undercabinet microwave with a new unit. Four hours of custom tin work later, i now have a custom ductwork adapter that transitions the off center, 6 inch round vent pipe to 3x10 rectangular vent. I adapted the back of this item to accomidate the lower half of the round vent. I also made a cap piece for each side of this piece that went beyond the round opening. Next i made a round piece to insert through the outside opening to tie the bottom half of the opening i made in the this rectangular piece to the existing round duct. I also made filler pieces for the top back half and sides of the round duct, to finish the custom transition piece. Finally i taped all the seams with metal tape for a smooth finish. For the first time since the home was constructed , the microwave vents air to outside at all speeds instead of the 2x4 wall cavity. I'm glad i found and was able to repair the builders sloppy work before there was any real damage to the wall!

It’s a 90 elbow what is there to say? Uhm, the air flows through it nicely without having to use any type of lubricant or grease! Perfect!
