The hasp wouldn’t fit over the staple while sitting flush...
The hasp wouldn’t fit over the staple while sitting flush on the board. Luckily I had another staple to fit it to. The staple that comes with it is not welded or attached any way to the base. There is a flat metal piece that hooks in to hold it to the base. Very cheap design. Would not recommend.

This unit is sold as a suitable lock for outdoor...
This unit is sold as a suitable lock for outdoor install, but after one week of it being outside, it is already beginning to rust very bad. The unit is already having a hard time moving at the pivot point due to the rusting. I would not recommend spending the extra money for this unit.

Hardware is junk
hasp is fine. Bolts are to short for standard door(house) thickness. Don't bother using the screws for metal application. Screws are junk.
