best fan for the money, I love it, buying another soon

We purchased this fan to replace a floor fan of similar size that we have used for more than 20 years. My wife and I used the fan to keep the air circulating in rooms we are sitting in. This new fan is well built and pushes out a tremendous amount of air but also sounds like a WW II bomber flying over your house. I am exaggerating a bit but it is too loud to use in our family room and still be able to hear the audio from the TV unless you turn the volume up to almost max. So we are still looking for a small floor fan of about this size that also runs quietly.

We have had a run of hot humid weather and my shop does not have AC. I ordered this product to circulate fresh air into my wood shop and metal shop. It works very well and keeps me cooled down and I have not had a problem with it blowing dust around either. The three speeds are adequate for my purpose and the cost was very reasonable for the quality of the fan.

This is a nice fan. The 14 inch size is easier to carry around than a 16" I have, but with hardly any noticable difference in air volume. Also the base is nice and solid, being one long piece instead of snap together tubes.

Bought three of these fans for an event we were having during a heatwave in California we flipped the fans upside down and hung them from their stands on an easy up. They work perfectly kept my staff cool and comfortable. I also bought one for my home

So quiet and cools off room quickly. Adjustable air flow in any direction and especially toward the ceiling. Air can bounce off all around the area.

Wife uses the fan it her job. As a result, it had to be UL approved. She is happy about the performance.

Fan has 4 settings. Ready to cool you just by plugging it in. Fast delivery. Privets to exact direction or angle. I love it. Terrific substitute if you cannot set up an overhead fan.

I was looking for a small powerful fan that my wife can move around and set it on the floor or on the table in the kitchen when she gets so hot while cooking or baking, and this little fellow met all of my requirements for a fair price. I believe I've gotten my money's worth. Very little assembly was needed, but it was a piece of cake.

Bought this online since the local HD stores did not have much of a fan selection after the hot summer we have had in Georgia. The shipping was fast and the unit was packaged in a super duty box. The fan is very sturdy, well-built and has a fairly good cfm volume on high speed without a lot of noise. The other two slower speeds are definitely quiet. Bought it mainly for a deck fan during fair weather outings to help with those times there is not a breeze and to aid with keeping the mosquitos away. I actually never saw this model in most of the stores I visited even when the fan supply was well stocked. Makes me want to check online BEFORE I venture to the store - could save me a trip and I can have it shipped to my house whenever I spend $50 or more. That is not hard to do at all - I added a gallon of cleaning chemicals that I had to pick up at the store to get the free shipping deal. Had to make a trip to the store anyway and having them pull the product and have it at customer service for easy pickup was all the better!

This is a quiet well made floor fan that moves a lot of air. Nothing to put together. Plug and enjoy straight out of the box. Very quiet. I read someone elses review and it had a db value of this fan on low speed. I believe they are correct.

I have this little gem of a fan in my garage. I have it running 24/7 to blow some of the heat out. It has made such a difference in the lessening amount of heat you feel when entering and exiting the garage. It also blows the heat away from the door. With the temps in the 100 degree range this week, it really pays off! Not sure why, but I have also noticed a lot less bugs in the garage too. Maybe they don't like the constant wind.

We saw "industrial" and thought it would be a great idea to get an industrial strength fan. When it arrived, we thought we had received the wrong product. Although disappointed, we figured we would plug it in and turn it on to see what type of "breeze" it would produce. Holy cow! We were so very surprised! This little fan puts out a huge breeze - more like a gust! It has been wonderful to have around. And yet it is small, so it is portable. I see it in my hallway right now and can tell you that its height measures just under the bottom of our electrical outlet. I could not be happier with this product!

This little fan can really move the air! I will be getting another one. Small but powerful. Has 3 settings, High, Medium and Low. Easy dial switch. Sits firmly on the floor so now worries of it tipping over. Has a handle on the back to easily pick it up and move it where you need it. Light weight but out works other fans I have that are twice the size! Small enough to take in a travel trailer too. I will get a lot of use from this fan. It is a great size, and powerful air mover. Is not very loud even on the high setting. It obviously makes noise but it can be on high and not interfere with phone calls or conversations. I use it every day to move the air and keep cool on these hot days. Well made and sturdy. My dog recently got sprayed by a skunk and I used this fan to blow the stinky air out the doors and windows and within 24 hours most of the odor was out!

This fan appears to be durable and made of good product. It runs quietly and produces a good strong flow

One word: metal. The Maxxair 14 in. Floor Fan is constructed of sturdy metal components that make it a tough little fan. It has a three speed knob at the back of the fan, a carry handle, and metal hooks for the power cord. The cord itself looks industrial strength, thick and heavy, with a three prong plug. The only drawback is that the cord is short. The fan is constructed with a wide base and clips that allow you to remove the fan face for cleaning, which is a very important feature in a home with multiple pets (lots of fur and dust). You can also angle the fan to adjust the air flow. The only assembly needed when you pull the fan out of the box is attaching two plastic knobs, which just push on to a nut face. Boy can it move some air! It's powerful and compact, with a hum that reminds me of prop airplanes. I actually find it soothing, but some may not. I am delighted with this item.

Good fan with multi-speed capability, seems to be well-engineered; adjustable tilt and vibration-resistant feet. Front grille is removable for cleaning of fan blades. Not rated 5 stars because there was minor chipping of the paint on the housing, the adhesive nameplate label was poorly designed and came off, and there is no stated warranty on the enclosed literature,

This fan is a good size to use in my living room as I can have it on low and feel the breeze across the room and still be able to hear the tv without having to turn the volume way up. It has 3 speed settings so you can push a little air or a lot of air when needed. Easy off/low/med/high dial and good cord length allows me to position my fan just where I want it. Thumbs up!

This fan has come in quite handy. It has three settings done by a dial, not buttons. The cord and fan are easy to work with since the fan is very light weight. The base is just weighted metal piping. I like the speed and distance the fan generates air flow with. On a low setting, I can feel the circulation 15-20 feet away! I also like that the paint is more of an enamel, meaning it will be easy to clean!

MaxxAir 14” floor fan model #HVFF-14 Straight out of box in a clear plastic bag I noticed there are nuts showing where you are to tighten or loosen to adjust tilt of the fan. The knobs to tighten or loosen were tied together behind the fan as they DO NOT attach to the fan, the knobs are nothing more than a tool to adjust the lock nuts when needed, so don’t lose. The V-shaped frame doesn’t exist they must have altered the frame tube base to accommodate the shipping box to cut costs for MaxxAir, either way the fan itself works FANtastic. Very quiet on all speeds meaning you cannot hear the motor only the fan blade carving out the air at a rate that is unmatched by all fans this size that are not commercial use. I took the fan cover off and removed the 3 stickers that were stuck on the blades for safety (just looked bad), cover does well stopping small fingers. Carry handle is more toward the back on top and would be more comfortable in the middle on the top. Speed selector switch feels nice when you turn to select speed, the power cord is overkill and stiff to wrap around cord holding brackets on the back. Blades are very well balanced, no shaking and spins in a straight line. This is a very powerful but cheap looking fan. I will rate this fan a 5 because I can overlook these imperfections.

Arrived just in time for our heat wave. Great size, very stable, circulates air well, all 3 speeds are perfect, the high speed is wonderful and doesn't blow so much as to scatter things.

I pulled the manual out of the box and began reading the instructions describing how to assemble the two part base, etc. Once I was ready to begin I pulled out the fan and was pleasantly surprised to find they must have updated the design because the base was a single piece and already attached to the fan! All I had to do was cut the zip tie holding the two handles to the fan grill and push them on to the tilt adjusting nuts. Then a simple few turns to tighten it up so it held the angle I wanted. The fan has three speeds and the top speed, while loud, pushes a significant amount of air. In a hot room having the fan blow on me I feel significantly cooler. The fan is well built (it even has metal blades), sturdy, easy to clean and even has a carrying handle and prongs on the back to wrap the power cord around.

Pretty impressed with this fan so far. All metal construction. Metal blades have a more aggressive pitch than my 20 inch lasko box fan so it is about 5 db louder on each setting. Still it is not too loud. The handle makes it easy to move to different locations. The angle adjustment knobs are great for angling along the floor for drying a surface or up to move air around a room. The leg design makes it very stable. No worry it would tip over like a box fan. I think I get more air movement with my lasso but it is a larger fan so not really a fair comparison. And the cage comes off fairly easily so you can clean the blades. This is a great choice if you need the versatility mentioned above.

I love the all black design and steel construction . It's a good size & weight and does not vibrate when it's in use.

Perfect little floor fan to help keep air circulating! It seems to be the prefect size to stay out of the way and be unobtrusive! It comes already put together and is very lightweight. For us, it is the perfect sized fan. It is not noisy, and puts out quite a bit of air circulation as well. Two thumbs up on this little guy!
