Easy Peasy Installation
The installation took about 20 Minutes including the 2X4 prep. I was surprised how easy it was. This was my first solar panel install. As far as the quality, durability and longevity of the panel....we'll just have to wait and see. It does look smart though.

Nothing but trouble from the start
We have had nothing bu trouble since we installed our MM571 with solar panel. MM has replaced the mother board, the batteries and the connectivity box. We have a long list of phone calls with them. Try this, try that, need 2 batteries, need 2 solar panels, no, need 1 battery and 1 solar panel. Need a deep cycle battery, can't tell you which one to buy, but if the power is too much you'll ur out the arm. Now, oh sorry, you're out of our warranty. Can't talk to you or help you anymore. Lemon? YUP

The solar panel is doing its job without any issues. Power is always available. It was a god upgrade from our prior unit.

Doesn't keep the battery charged enough. We go in and...
Doesn't keep the battery charged enough. We go in and out that gate daily. It does between 6 and 20 open/ close cycles a day. 6 m-f and more on weekends. I use a deer feeder battery charger direct to the battery and a inverter when it goes down. There is no other power option where its located. I use a Milwaukee m18 inverter and 9ah battery to power the deer feeder battery charger. I charge the m18 battery in the truck. Attach the wires and leave it while I run to town on a dry day. It lasts about a month.

A larger battery may be recommended because of the number of uses the gate is opening and closing. But, I will let our Tech Team make that recommendation.

Control panel was wired incorrectly and then the company lied...
Control panel was wired incorrectly and then the company lied to me and a Home Depot rep about the availability 9f the control panel.
Home Depot should not sell products from this company.

The solar panel was directly in the sun for 11...
The solar panel was directly in the sun for 11 to 12 hours every day and still would not keep the battery charged. I had to switch it back to the charger that came with the Marty meal opener
