This is an excellent buy for the money. We had one installed at work and it worked well until the bolt release inside broke and I couldn't fix it. Other then that, for the amount that we use it, it has worked well and is an excellent buy, especially for the low price paid.

I rate this product as poor simply due to their lack of customer assistance. This is actually the second one of these locks that I have purchased. The first lock lasted for several years. The installation instructions are not clear, nor is there anything online from them to help.

This seems to be working real good. I read a lot of questions/answers and reviews and finally got everything connected. As some others have done, I connected the keypad to a MM RB709U-NB Garage Door Receiver and a MM Gate Opener Replacement Transformer (RB570) , and am using a Single Button Access Remote for Automatic Gate Opener. Had to call tech support for wiring assistance. First guy I spoke with was not familiar with the setup, but the second guy knew just what to do. Works great. I don't understand why MM doesn't just put a receiver in these pedestrian gate locks. This setup is much easier than using the keypad.
Purchased this product along with other accessories about 4 years ago, still working perfectly. No problems at all. Initial problems with getting the programming going, but once I got over it in few minutes, bingo!! It started working non stop till now.
I've used this lock for more than 10 years and am generally pleased with it. Parts have been easy to order and tech support has been very helpful when needed. I have it installed with a control board supported by a 12-volt battery and charger which makes it open consistently unless the gate is jammed against the mechanism. I'm not sure how it would work with only AA batteries. The least durable part is the push button, which I'm currently replacing after patching it up over the years due to degradation in the sunlight. A 12-volt battery lasts 2-3 years before it won't hold enough charge to open the gate. All other original parts are still working.
