It was easy to install and functions but doesn’t extend...
It was easy to install and functions but doesn’t extend the opener enough for an 8’ door. More like a 7.5’ door opener.

Please check the manual make sure the opener is installed correctly. The opener by itself should do a 7'6" door so the extension should give you the other 6" needed.

Still had to place 2x6 under the extension and move...
Still had to place 2x6 under the extension and move the motor a couple of inches for the door opener to work.

Not sure why the poor review, it is a piece of metal to allow you to extend the opener to open up to a 8' door.

It worked. However, it would have been great if they made this a little longer. When the garage door was fully open, it was getting pretty close to the limit switch on the opener side, even if I add a ~1" wood block b/w the extender and the wall. Without adding the wood block, it would not have provided enough extension.
