  • great look and easy to maintain compared to tradtional hardwood floors.

My ihusband nstalled this floor as a remodel project throughout main floor about a year ago. We have 5 dogs and the floor has stood up well to their tracking in snow and rain as well as their running around the house. The finish is as nice as the day it was installed and the floor is easy to clean wth a steam mop. Scratches are not an ssue like it was with the hardwood we had in the other house. The dark color had me concerned that even the slightest amount of dust or dirt would show like a sore thumb, but that has not been the case. The flooring was a little expensive compared to others we looked at, but well worth the extra cost in my opinion. Looks great and really stands up to the abuse thrown at it.

Pros Easy to Clean, Easy to Install, Looks Great, Looks High End

We are almost finished installing this flooring throughout the entire main floor, and it is gorgeous. There are more short planks than long ones, but the end result is absolutely stunning! It is exactly what we expected and are completely happy with this purchase.

  • A lot of small pieces and several warped on the longer pieces
  • November 11, 2015

This was a very difficult job for my pro installer. A lot of small pieces in the boxes and many of the longer pieces were warped. At this price expected better quality. Installer said if it was like $3 or $4 a SQ he would expect this quality. Fortunately its a bedroom so he made it work so that the smaller pieces are hidden under furniture.

Cons Difficult to Install, warped wood, high % of small pieces

  • Beautiful flooring
  • February 14, 2015

Last year my husband and I laid this floor in our family room. We love the look and feel so much, we are now doing our living room in this flooring. Yes there are a lot of smaller pieces in the boxes. If you work out of two or three boxes at the same time, not only does the slight color difference make the floor look beautiful, but you won't have to cut very many boards at the end of the rows.

This product was installed 3 years ago in dining room, living room and 2 bedrooms. An underlayment was used, install was fairly easy and the result was beautiful. So for no dents or scratches in high traffice areas. However, 2 extra boxes were ordered as there was alot of waste in each box. There were small boards and alot of boards with either burn marks or splintered edges. Taking all that into account, the worst being is that now the flooring finish yellowed. This has happened in every room. Pretty darn upset when you spend this amount of money on a product and it ends up looking like pine! I supose one could say it has mellowed however, no. Pick up a rug and their is an outline. My recommendation is to use another manufacturer.

Purchased this for family room. We were told because it was a high traffic room and a lot of kids that hickory was the hardest wood and easiest to take care of. Wrong!!!! If you drop anything on it it dents and easily scrapes from toys. No matter what you use to clean it there is always a film it looks terrible being a large room. There are places where the coating has worn off and pieces of wood is splinting. DO NOT PURCHASE. WASTE OF MONEY.

Too many small board lengths. Had six long boards. Out of 10 cases it was pretty disappointing.. All the rest were 36” and smaller. Many many 11” and 12” boards.

Majority of pieces were 18”-36”; only a few were 4’ or more. Also, some are slightly narrower. You notice the gaps upon installation as the wood is dark but the tongue is unstained/light. Had to use filler for the gaps. Wood itself seems to be good quality. Expected better at this price.
