Good backpack with decent storage but zipper tore
I had this backpack for 2 years and the storage capacity is good and all of my tools fit inside with no problems. The base & the shoulder straps are durable but not the zipper.
Looking at other reviews it seems like this front zipper is always the first to tear.
I called the Milwaukee Tool near me to claim warranty & they said backpacks are only warrantied for 1 year so I'm out of luck. The limited lifetime warranty they advertise is not true.

Zipper instantly came apart
I used it for a day and a half and I don’t know if I packed it too full or what but the zipper instantly separated creating 2 large holes in the backpack not to mention while I was taking it out of the back the front buckle just fell off. This is horrible quality DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Great for young mechanics
Bought this for my son so he can keep his tools when we go to the Junkyard to get parts for his car. Not only does he make sure all his tools are in line but also helps him bring his book for notes or instructions on a certain vechicle.

I like this Backpack. But...
I had this backpack for 2 years, with no issues. I gifted it to my friend and bought a new one the same. I have broken zipper in 2 weeks, I replaced it, The same issue with the second one. Replaced it again - the same, but worse. Home Depo doesn't want to replace it anymore. Just return. Looks like the quality of all backpacks is the same.

Best backpack
I work as a cook not in construction. I needed a backpack for my knives. This backpack is perfect for what I need and is stronger and more durable than any culinary backpack.

Good quality heavy but if it were light it would be cheap garbage. I use for a/c installation and tech work. Got my hand tools in front with a m12 impact and a few batteries. In back where the laptop compartment is I put a m12 hammer drill.

almost perfect, but not
I inspected the back inside and outside and decided it was a keeper, however it was not. One thing that almost made me wanna return it is that it has no external tape measure holder. It does come with lots of pockets. Why I decided to return it is the laptop side has a huge gap on the bottom that will cause my laptop charger to slide into the tool side, or my tools slide into the laptop side. That's a big no if you wanna keep your laptop or tablet safe.

It's self-supporting meaning it stands up on its own even while open. This is well made and very tough. There is a section for laptops, tablets, and/or folders and notebooks. It's comfortable to carry as well. I typically carry it over one shoulder. I use it for network installation tools. The outer panel is great for holding cables, power cords and etc.. I like to keep a small notebook and pencil in the pocket on the top of the front cover.
Before anyone goes bonkers, that square brown thing shown in the computer and folder section photograph is just a piece of wood stuck in there to hold it open so you can see the interior. No! It doesn't come with the bag and no, there aren't any tools included. It's just the empty backpack. To find the specifications on this, go to the specification section of Home Depot's website for this item, or Google it.
I will not compare this to other bags for you because this is the only one I am familiar with.

Great design. Poor zipper material.
Great tool backpack design with plenty of storage. Not too bulky or uncomfortable. Only complaint I have is the zipper gets stuck and is not durable enough for every day use. I have been using my backpack for a little over a week and already noticed one of the zipper is starting to tear. Considering the price I expected overall good quality. Don’t recommend buying if you plan on using it everyday.

Well made and solid job-site backpack. Made from quality materials and decent workmanship. It has two main compartments and a storage pockets on the sides. The straps are strong and comfortable. The bottom is solid/hard plastic to keep the bag off the ground and safe from water, mud, etc. We've had it for a couple years and it's holding up well.

real nice would recommend
I work in drywall and framing and love it. Had a 18in and 22 husky rolling bag and this fits all my needed tools in it. Way more portable. It fits my milwaukee drill, impact, screwgun, and my cutout tool my charger, hand tools and a 5.0 and 2.0 battery. And feels light compared to other bags i used since its a backpack compared to shoulder bags. And like the fact i can tie my tool belt around it

Heavy duty well-made back pack. I bought this backpack because of the computer compartment, I need to have a computer with me for the diagnosis and set up work that I do. The computer area is well padded and there is room in that compartment for a small binder/folder, 1-1.5" thick. So the ability to take literature and files with you is nice. I use a 15.6" laptop (Dell Latitude) and it snugly fits. The hard plastic/rubber bottom is great. The bag will sit upright and you don't have to worry about sitting it in a damp spot. For me, that is a great feature. A small and sometimes overlooked feature is the connector strap on the back pack straps. Throw a computer, files, tools, and water bottle on this pack it is gets heavy. That little connector strap in the front to hold the back pack straps together really makes this bag more comfortable and you don't have to keep re-adjusting the straps. My previous bag did not have this and it is noticeable if you wear the pack for a little while during the day or have to climb ladders with it. Heavy built zipper, again small thing until you have one that breaks. This can be a heavy bag, the zipper looks well rated for the load.
Here are some things I feel could be better and why it receives a 4 out of 5 from me. Wasted space; as shown in the picture below, there is a lot of wasted space in the tool area. The top half of the tool compartment is essentially empty. You could put things up there, but they just fall down into the tools. There is a pouch there, but it is very tight, can't even fit gloves in it. That could be bigger or additional tool slots could be in that upper area, or a means to hold an organizer case. That space is just lost in my opinion.
Pen storage; I currently use the small side pouches for pens/markers, and that suffices. I would prefer to see a spot in the computer compartment, the dead space in the tool area, or at least in that back zippered pouch a couple of pen loops so you can keep them inside the pack and organized. This could prevent them from getting caught up in the field due to sticking out the side. I'll admit this is a small gripe but the pack is pretty good so small things stand out.
Overall, I really like this bag so far. It is functional and comfortable. Everything appears well made, pretty much what you'd expect from Milwaukee. I originally purchased the Pro model only to find it didn't have a computer spot so I returned it for this model. Very happy with it.

Terrible!!!!
I was very excited to use this backpack because of all the good reviews and the padded straps, but when i finally used it. Within the first week of use. The strap broke!!! I couldnt believe it. I was in shock and extremly disappointed. What really disappointed me was the fact that i didnt even have the backpack full. The only thing i had in it was my impact, drill, and a hammer. The bag was not overloaded at all. It still had plenty of space for more stuff. So it couldnt of had been a weight issue. I believe the plastic parts on this bag should be replace with metal ones. I dont recommend is bag to anyone! Its over priced and not worth the money.
