These new carbide tipped sawzall blades are a welcome additition to anyone who owns a Sawzall tool. Mine isn't a dedicated sawzall but a sawzall attachment for my Ridgid multi tool. I don't use that attachmnet very often but when I need a sawzall that attachment comes in very handy although it isnt as powerful as the dedicated sawzall. These 12 inch blades are real handy if you have to trim some big branches if you don't have access to a chainsaw. If you need sawzall blades I would highly recommend these carbide tipped blades as they will last much longer than a regular blade. Almost all your circular saw blades and table saw blades are carbide tipped these days and there is a reason for that. Much greater longevity.

These Reciprocating Saw Blades are fantastic ... they make quick work even cutting the toughest materials and are durable. There's a lot of info on the packaging some of which is difficult to see (Photo #1 and #2); the highlights 6", 6 tpi (aggressive cutting), carbide teeth (long life, 50X vs bimetal), and for use on multiple materials (wood w/ nails, PVC, plaster, and metal), and American Made! They're part of what I consider a "family" of blades shown in Photo #3; a close look at the blades shows the characteristics of each and in some instances only a single use ... if in need of any blade from the "family", examine the package closely to ensure proper selection. I would recommend this product.

The Milwaukee 12 inch sawzall blade is a quality and durable blade. Thick blade that will resist bending when cutting and the carbinde teeth give the blade that added cutting power. The long blade makes easy work of thick wood, PVC or metal. Nails in wood when doing demo work are no match either. The long blade is great for cutting straight through walls while remodeling. Made in the USA

The Milwaulee 12 inch pruning sawzall blade is a quality made blade. Thick and sturdy for cutting any tree or bush branch. It will withstand any type of tree species and make many quick cuts. Roots are no problem either. The blade will tackle any rock or dirt when you are cutting roots. Only con is that it is a very aggressive tooth blade. Made in USA.

A nice heavy blade to cut branches and small stumps. I enjoyed using the Milwaukee blade and will keep extra in my tool box for spring and fall clean up . I like that the blade snaps into my ryobi tools and it is sturdy. Easy to use and works well for what I need. If you need a wood blade for your receptacle saw this maybe for you . I do recommend Milwaukee blades.

This Milwaukee 9 in. 3 TPI Pruning Carbide Teeth Wood Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade was used for cutting limbs on a fallen tree. I used a cordless recip saw, the blade performed very well. It has a tall profile for strength and with the carbide teeth; it seems durable and should last a long time. With 3 teeth per inch, I was surprised how smooth the cut was on the 4”-5” limbs. I did make several cuts on 6" and 7" limbs with no problem! The larger part of the tree is going to be chainsaw worthy! Made in USA.

This works as you would expect. The long length is very useful for certain projects. It allows you to cut into a deeper space if necessary. The long length also makes it easier to bend the blade a bit sideways to fit into difficult/tight places and to cut along the edge of an item efficiently. The front tooth design is supposed to make it easier to do a plunge cut. I've not tried that yet. It is too early to tell whether the teeth will last longer than a typical blade. Whether the last two things work out or not, I found the long length of the blade to be useful.

This blade came in real handy for cutting branches off the heavier trees . It seems to be a very smooth cutting blade . I used it to cut branches down and to cut them up before chipping them. I used a couple of Ryobi reciprocating saws and didn’t have any problems. It’s very nice to have a great product that works well . Even for a bigger project, it’s very sturdy.

Nice saw blade ! Works easily with my ryobi reciprocating saw . It cuts nicely. Easy to use . I used this blade and several others to compare them . The Milwaukee blade was a cleaner cutting blade . The branches were about 4 inches thick . I will be using the wrecker to cut off some more branches soon . I will definitely have to keep a couple in my tool chest.

To start with, this Milwaukee 12" blade is advertised as a pruning blade. Well, I just put it to the test. It not only easily cut small branches, it made easy work of taking down a good size dead palm tree. I normally would have used my chain saw, but it was uncooperative and would not start. Wife said the dead tree had to go before the Christmas lights went up. I used the blade in my cordless sawzall and it did the job without a lot of effort, all with the same battery. In the future I will be using this blade and the sawzall a lot more.

This blade gives the homeowner one more reason to keep a Sawzall nearby. The blade is thick, sturdy ans will cut green wood better than any pruning hand saw. There is always some low hanging bushes and limbs around my back deck. Rather than getting out the chainsaw ( which usually does not crank easy), I just get the Sawzall, plug in a 100 foot extension cord , and manicure the large shrubbery. I have also cut new wet treated wood with no problem.

This is a big blade, and is definitely well built. I have a set of wood and metal recip blades from Milwaukee that have been great, so this is a great addition to that. For quick pruning or just to get a branch out of the way, the sawzall is a quick and easy tool to use. Having a nice, large pruning blade is something you should have just for that task. This has made quick work of branches with little effort.

The Milwaukee 9 inch carbide sawzall blade exceeded my expectations and make quick work of my last yard project for the season. A few summers ago I had 3 mature trees (Spruce and 2 cedars) taken down and was left with I unsightly stumps and huge roots that that started to effect my fence. I attached this blade to my Ryobi reciprocating saw and went to work. The blade can go into the earth and easily severed the roots. I was concerned the most with the old cedars, but the blade easily made the cuts.

I like this saw blade. It cuts through branches really easily, and has plenty of length to cut just about anything I want to with it. While the length of this blade is a benefit, it can also get in the way of things. One potential use case for the recip blade would be to cut roots, but with the longer blade, I found it difficult to avoid getting the blade in the dirt. Milwaukee does make this blade in slightly shorter variants, though, and even after getting the blade a bit dirty, it still was sharp to the touch. One thing with a long blade that I would worry about is potential flex/bending of the blade. I found it to be very sturdy, though; I was not worried it would get caught and bend at all. While I did not attempt to cut an 11-12" tree with this so far, I'm very satisfied with this saw blade and the results I've seen so far. It can cut through a 3-4" branch in very short order using my little Ryobi 18v recip saw.

The wrecker is the perfect name for this blade. I used it for a whole house demo project. The 12" size is perfect in cutting through almost anything. The fang tip made it easier to plunge cut into wood and drywall. The coating on it wears off after a while but it does seem to cut through things faster then typical blades. The blade if more study and rigid and doesn't permanently bend like other blades do. The description says it can cut metal but I would use a specific metal blade depending on the thickness of the metal to be cut. I highly recommend these blades as they are my primary blade used for demo projects.

This is a great blade for rough cutting in existing structures. The blade is thick and will not flex. It cuts through wood, light metal, and nails with out having to change blades. I sawed through a 2 x 4 in about 8 seconds with only the weight of the saw applying pressure. This blade will work good for cutting in roof opening where nails are random.

This Milwaukee 6" 6 Teeth Per Inch THE WRECKER™ with Carbide Teeth SAWZALL® Blade claims to last 50 times longer than a normal blade. I do not have the means to test this claim, but the blade does seem to be tough. In my video, I cut through a 2X2 (nominal) pine board with an electrical staple embedded in it. The blade did not ‘buck’ when I hit the staple. One of my photos shows the blade after this cutting operation. Some of the paint has been removed (as would be expected), but I saw no evidence of damage to the teeth. I would expect this blade to resist a lot of abuse in a wrecking or demolition operation. The blade’s gullets are not very deep, but I felt no binding of the sawdust. (If I was still a member of my fire department, I would like to have tested this blade on cutting windshields in a rescue scenario, although normally a 10-14 TPI blade would be suggested.) The blade is thin enough to deflect slightly if you were to force a flush cut, but I don’t foresee it bending easily unless you really pushed it at an obtuse angle. Time will tell if the Milwaukee WRECKER blade lasts 50 times longer than a normal blade, but at the price point it is worth trying.

Milwaukee 12 in. 3 TPI Pruning Carbide Teeth Wood Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade (3-Pack). I use these blades all the time to trim palm trees and cut up large branches when trimming. They cut fast and clean. I have also used the blades to cut roots when digging post holes or other underground construction. They stay sharp though many cutting tasks, but the blade is pressed without any carbide added to the teeth, so they do wear down on tough surfaces and when cutting in earth. The most trouble I have had is when the blade breaks or bends and must be straightened.

This is a solid blade. I've also used a Diablo version of a clean wood blade and this one seems to edge the Diablo out. I haven't used the Milwaukee blade extensively yet so I can't say about the durability, but it seems to be a bit heavier construction so I'm hoping for the best. I REALLY wish I'd had my sawsall and a bunch of these blades for removing aspen trees from my father in laws front yard this summer. Great blade length for hacking up the logs that are too big for my wood stove

Coconut Coir cuts better with a blade for wood rather than a blade for metal. Those blocks are great for keeping the moisture in plants, but are often too big for using in their original size. A reciprocating saw and a blade for wood is the easiest way to trim it down to a size that when it swells with water will fit into something like a 5 gallon bucket.

This pruning blade from Milwaukee is great. It cuts fast and also allows you to cut the roots through the dirt with ease. Typical blades have trouble with cutting through dirt to get to the roots but this blade is definitely designed for that with its slimmer profile. The blade is also thicker then most so it doesn't tend to bend when put under pressure and it very durable. These blades can take beating and they last longer then most. I highly recommend this blade and will be buying more in the future.

Chose to evaluate the Milwaukee 12" CT Wrecker SawZall reciprocating blade #48005243 because I have several rails which need to be replaced on my paddock fence that are shorter than the standard length supplied by the mill. The other option to make the triangular end cuts was using a chain saw, but bar length of the saw made exact angle cuts difficult. The blade has 6 teeth per inch (6 TPI), comes as a single pack item. There is a noticeable difference in the mount angle as compared to other Milwaukee blades that I own (see attached photo.) This does not affect mounting or functionality of the blade. Although listed as a Milwaukee blade, it does fit almost universally on other manufacturer's reciprocating saws. It mounted without difficult on my PC unit. The trial cuts were on Locus wood ( a very hard local wood) that was clean (free of nails, screws, or other metallic foreign bodies.) I easily made several cross grain cuts through the wood without noted burning of the blade that occurred with other wood blades. On the third pass, I noticed that a single tooth had broken off near the tip of the blade. Checked the wood for foreign bodies, but none present. The missing tooth did not inhibit the performance of the blade during the entire trial session. I am not sure why the tooth broke off, but the void had a clean base. Perhaps metal fatigue in manufacturing. (Made in USA from international materials) The final results provided a smooth cut through the wood without the expected wobbling or pinching of the blade. The finish paint did scrape off, but as stated, no burning of the blade was noted. No other teeth broke off during the trial. I would recommend this item for cutting clean wood only, and not use to cut through beams or studs containing nails, cleats, etc.

I use these blades on all sorts of demolition projects. They will hack through nails, screws, knots in the wood, just about everything. Make sure you are careful when using these as they move pretty fast through most material and will cut right through whatever they come in contact with. Don't use a blade longer than you need so you don't risk bending it or cutting into something you can't see. If you are cutting pipes, or steel then you should use the blade specifically made for cutting meta.

I happened (thankfully!) to have this blade on hand when hurricane Zeta came through a couple of weeks ago. The storm knocked down a couple of very large branches in front of the house. I was able to use this blade in my DeWalt 20Volt Reciprocating saw and cut almost all of the branches. There were a few larger pieces that I had to use a borrowed chainsaw on. If I also had the longer version of the blade I might not have needed the chainsaw!

This Milwaukee 12 in. 3 TPI reciprocating saw blade three-pack is really heavy duty! The blade has very strong carbide steel teeth so it will handle really tough pruning and cutting as you can see in the pictures. This can be used for both above ground and below ground cutting, so using this on either roots or branches would work well. It has a low blade profile so it will fit in tight places, and that is useful if you are working on roots. The tang on the blade is a universal half-inch design, so you can use this with any brand of reciprocating saw. I highly recommend this three-pack of cutting blades! They will last a long time and cut well.

These pruning blades work very well for removing tree limb's. I have a lot of branches that neighbors have broken off before i bought the property and left two or three feet of branch still on the trees These blades have worked very well in removing the branches to make the tree look more presentable. They cut right up close to the tree, then I seal the cutoff spot. and the tree is happy.

Misleading Product Description
See photos and advertising: perhaps I don't know how to read these ads, the promotions, and advertising materials, and packaging description, but it seems that the blades are advertised as "optimal" for cutting cast iron. So I waited a week for them by mail to begin my project because they were out of these at the store. They had just arrived, the local power company had cleared me to begin the pipe removal, and I was prepped to begin first thing in the morning. HOLD everything. I turned over the package and it seems to indicate that these blades are NOT for cast iron (see photo). If this is true, that these blades are not for cast iron, then my important project is in jeopardy and at time and cost. Ironically the next day I was at HD for a separate DIY project and a Milwaukee Promotion Booth was at the front of the store. I described my frustration and was told this happens all the time with how HD writes up its website descriptions. I am finding all of this hard to accept and believe, but I do know that my specific situation as experienced is true, unexaggerated, pictured, and documented. Under the circumstances I think that an overall rating of one star is appropriate and I am unable to recommend this product for the job as HD advertises it. Thank you.
