I've found these to be good blades for taking down large wood materials that have nails. The blades have a good stiffness, but at 12", if you're not demolishing something of the proper size the tip is going to be swinging all over the place. And it's important to keep the shoe against the materials or else you'll bounce around with the saw. These blades work OK with my battery operated reciprocating saw; however, without a 3-5 amp hour battery, I run out of juice quickly. I actually prefer using these blades with my 12 amp plug-in reciprocating saw so there's enough power to use blades to their full potential. "Ax" seems like a good name for these blades.

My project was a tree stump. It had to come out. The 10-pack of blades was the perfect partner for the “Sawzall”. Most of the cutting was roots under the ground. The blades are tough. I buried the running blade under the large roots. The blades blasted through roots, dirt, and rocks. None broke, none even bent. I used up 7 of the 10-pack... wore the teeth right off them. Cheapest project ever! I’ll try to upload a couple pics to show you.

This is a six pack of Milwaukee twelve inch reciprocating saw blades. The blades have five teeth per inch, they are one inch tall, and they have a ½ inch universal tang so they can be used with other brands of reciprocating saws. The manufacturer claims that the blades have “Nail Guard” and “Fang Tip” which allows you to cut through nails in wood without breaking the blade’s teeth and it is the “fastest plunging” on any wood cutting. They also claim that the carbide tipped blades have 30 times longer life over standard blades and two times faster cutting than other carbide blades. I have no method of verifying the claims so I can only talk about my experience with the blades. I am a DIYer so I am not using the blades at a job site but so far my experience with these blades is that they do an exceptional job of cutting through wood. I have not yet had to cut through any nails so I can’t comment on their ability to cut through nails. I am very impressed with these blades so I can definitely recommend them for your reciprocating saw.

Outstanding blades with unbelievable results
Well, these blades were "suggested" to trim off tree limbs with, so I decided to put them to a maximized use. We had a 20+ year old Poplar tree that was cut down 3 months ago and the stump remained. I could purchase a chain saw, rent or hire a stump grinder, OR use these Sawzall Wood Blades. I'm a "do it yourselfer" with a limited budget, so I decided to use these blades with my DeWalt DW30 electric saw. I seriously doubt that many folks would put any blade to this test. The results are somewhat shocking as per the enclosed photos. I used ONLY 5 of the 10 blades to completely remove this sizable tree stump! Not kidding. If you want a hardy blade that will truly cut tree limbs, then considering how they performed on a STUMP, you should use these outstanding blades.

Violently Awesome!
I can't tell you how much I LOVE these blades! If you are planning a demo anytime in the future, these are a MUST have for your project. The 10-pack is a great idea to just have around the shop. These bad boys are some of the most destructive saw blades I've every used, but the most incredible aspect about them is that you have incredibly precise control over the blade while in use. I cut straight through a 2x12 in a matter of seconds that was riddled with 16 penny nails, and it didn't even flinch at me. I did it again using just the tip of the blade and the result was exactly the same and honestly, it was easier to control! There is a hook nosed end that makes it extremely manageable when in use. Great blade and highly recommended!!

These pruning saw blades work very well with my cordless Ryobi reciprocating saw. They have a more aggressive blade (with larger notches spaced along the length of the blade) that what I used previously. I was able to easily prune, then remove, a medium sized birch tree, with branches ranging from 1-4 inches, and three trunks of just over 6 inches. The blade I used is sharp enough to use on some other pruning. But blades don’t last forever and it is nice to get a 5-pack at a reasonable price.

good on paper
This blade is tiny. I think the picture is misleading however considering what its purpose is it makes sense. For the price i dont think this is worth buying. First use cuting drywal ariund a tub surround the blade was working great then on the fifth stud i came to the blade just snapped. I could make one of these out of an old dull blade

These blades are great, work well for all those chores around the house. Used by saw to cut down some downed trees around and was able to dismember a large rat carcass. Won’t cut coke you will need a razor blade for that.
