Excellent tool. Better than I thought and I got and great deal for it

The auto release of the chuck is awesome. One thing I'm not a super fan is the auto shut down for the load on tool but I understand it.

I work on automobile wheels/rims. I fix all types of cosmetic damages on most types of rims/wheels of most cars. I was using air compressed tools and for 12 years, the vibration from my DA and my grinder has taken a toll on my hand. I developed trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome. Since I got this tool, it has made my job easier and more comfortable. I also use the 2438-22 / 2438-22X M12™ Variable Speed Polisher/Sander Kit but then it got stolen. Both tools are great and will definitely keep you from having carpal tunnel syndrome. They are easy to control with every single swipe with a grinder disk or by a sander disks.

This tool annoyingly hits self protect mode far too often, utilizing a 3” abrasive cutoff wheel as well as 3” scotch brite pad, works ok for like 30 seconds then starts timing out or going into self protect mode, if you release trigger and start again it works for a bit then repeats, over and over like that, not loading it alot at all…works well with small carbide burrs and small roll type abrasives, but not 3” 3m grinding pads or scotch brite pads.

I recently purchased the Milwaukee 1/4 in. M12 FUEL Right Angle Die Grinder, and I have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. The power of this tool is unexpectedly outstanding. It can handle various tasks with ease, from removing old gasket material to prepping metal for welding, all without the need for firing up and dragging out the air compressor. I have very few tools left that I need an air compressor and with this tool, it's even less. It's versatile and can handle tasks like metal blending, thanks to the variable-speed control and responsive trigger, making it a breeze to use. The size of the M12 die grinder is perfect for getting into tight spaces. Don't let the small size fool you! Its compact design provides greater mobility (no hoses to drag around) and access. One of the standout features for me is the paddle trigger with pressure-sensing switch, which operates much like a pneumatic tool. It provides a seamless and intuitive user experience as I didn't really have to read the instructions to understand what it does and what it can do. I've used this die grinder for various tasks, from removing rust off rotors and wheel hubs to sharpening mower blades and removing gaskets. When paired with an M12 5.0ah high-output battery, it becomes unstoppable. I recommend the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 12V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Right Angle Die Grinder. It's a reliable, versatile, and powerful tool that has significantly improved my workflow and efficiency. If you're in the market for a cordless die grinder, this one is definitely worth considering.

Allows me to do everything from removing old gasket material to prepping metal for welding all without requiring access to an air compressor.

Bought it because it is more convenient than the pneumatic version (no compressor needed).

Worked very well for my woodworking application. I make freeform live edge hardwood bowls.

Milwaukee tools are the best . you can't find any better . they are easy to work with The and they charge fast

Great tool, super handy, but goes through a ton of batteries if use hard. Definitely not a replacement for a pneumatic die grinder.

great grinder it was easy to set up and use. batteries last longer than expected.

Very versatile tool. The variable speed is great, definitely helps metal blending when using metal conditioning pads and sanding discs; blending welds becomes a lot easier.

The M12 right angle die grinder is awesome i used to use all air tools and have completely switched to cordless Milwaukee the M12 die grinder is a beast is out performs over air grinders all day plus it’s super quiet don’t have to listen to the air grinder all day I’ve owned my grinder for over 3 yrs and it’s still going strong I use it pretty much every day it’s a must have tool

Power hungry not recommended for long use the battery drains very fast

Good for grinding disc goes so well and the size perfectt love the way it goes

I use this die grinder for all kinds of cleaning and it works great, some will say it times out when u press hard and yes it will but if u let the grinder do the work then it wont stop spinning and I would not buy it for hard core grinding, I would go with the m18 version of you want to peel off metal or any large chunks of baked on grill char. Overall though its a good tool if you use it for light buffing and cleaning. I would not consider it a good grinder but for buffing its great.

Using to polish aluminum. Worst die grinder I have ever used. The driver head comes to a sudden stop once slight pressure is applied. Absolutely unsatisfied with this product

Powerful and lightweight. Easy to handle and it powers through any job.

So far it has met all of expectations. Have no issue or complaints.

my tool shuts off every 10 seconds and gets very hot

I have not used these a whole lot but what I have used I really, really like. My first small job was to carve out inserts, in the drawer foam, for my pack out tools. I used deburring bits on each die grinder and it made the job so much quicker and nicer than using a razor blade- like I have done in the past. I also used a wire wheel on the right angle due grinder to clean off some rust on a tool box. Neither one of these jobs were what I would call heavy duty but for some reason both grinders would shut off after a few minutes of continuous use. I don’t feel like there was an over heating issue but I’m still trying to figure out that issue

This thing is awesome. Only problem it has is battery life. Upgraded to higher battery and have no complaints. Reason I choose using this over the air operated one is the vibration and fatigue simply are not there when comparing the two. Buy it, it’s worth it.

It a great tool for the money. Bought this to help with doing tire repairs.

This die grinder is my go to for removing rust off rotors and wheel hubs. Can’t imagine not having this tool. and pairing it with the 5.0ah high output battery its unstoppable. Im currently looking to add the straight die grinder to my arsenal.

Love it!!!! I thought it wouldn't be able to replace my pneumatic angle grinder but it definitely did! The paddle trigger with pressure sensing switch makes it operate just like a pneumatic but no bulky hoses.
