I originally compared this M18™ version with its sibling M12™ and decided that M18™ was worth the added torque, weight and length gains. As electrician it has helped me when I have an awkward confined space job. This tool has become invaluable. The right-angle drill is truly old-school Milwaukee™ quality. It has a built in bright white illumination LED to see in dark areas. The torque setting is an interesting feature and benefit. When the drill senses that it has reached the over-torque setting you have dialed in, it shuts off and illuminates a red LED. To restart the drill, release the trigger and squeeze it again. Perfect for blind driving in tight or dingy places.
For the average user this is one of those tools that can sit in your tool box for a while gathering dust,. but when you get one of those awkward jobs in a confined space it really becomes invaluable. I use it daily in my profession (electrician) and it has made my job much easier. It is a Milwaukee so the build quality is fantastic. This is a basic drill with no fancy bells or whistles. Which really aren't necessary for the purposes it was designed for. You get forward, reverse, torque settings and a built in light which is a great bonus when working in those dark dingy places that all tradesmen seem to end up in!!! This is the most compact 18v angle drill on the market at the moment and comes with the Milwaukee 5 year warranty, so you can't go wrong.
Easy to Use, Sturdy, Good Size & Weight, Long-Lasting
Was familiar with the style as I have had the electrified model for many years. This cordless model works perfect as expected and being cordless with long-lasting batteries, jobsite use could not be more convenient.
Accurate, Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Long-Lasting, Powerful, Sturdy
The angle drill was exactly what I needed to do the job. It was strong and smooth. The battery life appeared shorter that what I expected but that may be because it was the first charge for the battery. It was used to drill pilot holes and countersunk holes in oak and to drive home the screws as there was not enough room above the screw to use a impact driver. There are already a few projects that are lined up for this tool.
