The Milwaukee 550-Lumen LED Rechargeable Pivoting Flood Light is as solid and well built as my other Milwaukee USB lighting tools!! This unit is a very nice "new twist" on my lighting source needs. Offering 3 settings (550 lumens-2 hrs run time, 250 lumens-4.5 hrt and 100 lumens-11.5 hrt) of natural daylight even color flood brilliance (5K kelvin), the LED source is efficient and effective for whatever my task maybe! The angling swivel bracket (with a built-in carbiner carry clip) offers a flood of light right at my project work and the magnetic base allows mounting on my metal work tool surfaces! The quick USB charge time and selectable outputs means steadier and quicker job completions...perfect for my DIY, homeowner and workshop task!!

Small but mighty! I was surprised at how small this light was but was also surprised at the power and features. Three sight settings to meet your lighting needs are great. It has very strong magnets to hold it firmly in place on a metal surface. I would have liked to see the magnets protected under some kind of material as to protect the metal surface that you place the light on like a vehicle but as long as your careful you shouldn't scratch the surface. It also has a carabiner style hook on the handle which is another nice feature for other areas to hang the light. You can hang on your belt loop for when walking around in the dark, hang on a tree branch if camping. This little light would be great in a car, backpack, walking/biking at night. I wish Milwaukee would make more lights like this for specific needs like biking or tactical. Charges with a USB so you don't have to worry about a regular battery bleeding and corroding the battery chamber. I am probably going to get a few more of these. Great stocking stuffer as well.

Milwaukee 300-Lumen LED Magnetic Flood Light is a small handy pocket size light to have on you. It puts out a concentrated flood light carried in a small package that runs cool when on. A cool light is helpful when working in tight spaces with limited ventilation. Unlike other lights instead of putting out a beam of light this is more a light bar with LED's along the length of one side of the light, about 3 1/2-inches long. Think how big a traditional light would be for this wide illumination up close? Overall the entire light is about five inches long and weights very little at about a quarter pound. It has a clip that can be moved and easily fits on your belt or has two magnets that can put it anyplace, vertical or horizontal, for more freedom as your work. Its rated at 300-lumens from five LED's and its the kind of light that's called true color, eliminates shadows and dark spots. Its powered with two standard AA batteries, rated at five-hours at high beam and 15-hours at low beam which I found bright for working. Its a convenient light than having to hold a flashlight while working. If you are using the magnet it can be angled for better positioning. I even used it clipped to my shirt pocket while working up close. I can see it being used working on a car engine to get into tight spots because of its small size and magnetic capability. Overall, its a nice light, worth keeping in the toolbox for these times or on your tool belt for general use.

I bought this light when it first came out and I liked it so much I bought a 2nd unit a few months later. Both lights are in still in working order and vital in day to day jobs that I do. You can never have too much light when you need it.

After owning the USB stick light and head lamp, as I use them everyday, I decided to buy the new pivoting floodlight and I am in love with this light. It's shorter size, strong magnets, carabiner, 550 lumens and pivoting design make this a very very versatile light. I've only had it for 1 day but I can already tell this will be my new go to light for most tasks. The build quality is comparable to the previous USB lights and those have held up very well so I think this light will last for years to come.

This is by far my new favorite shop light. Don't let the size full you, it's bright! I use this under the truck hood when its to dark to see anything, and I'm tired of fumbling around with those big bulky lights that just get in the way. This light is way brighter than any of those old school lights, and the best part about it is it has a very powerful magnet that hold the light in place perfectly. As for illumination, it lights up a very large area evenly, and the light can be adjusted from high, low and medium with a touch of a button. Once you are done, just toss it on the charger for a few and it's ready to go again. If you done feel like waiting for a charge, just take the battery out and put a new on in. As for build, its not that cheap plastic feeling material that you see on so many others. This light is heavy duty, and will take a lot of abuse. It's also very easy to adjust, as the head swivels up and down, and I love that they threw in a carabiner that will attach to you belt. This is a very impressive light, and would be a great addition to the shop just to help light up those dark areas. 100% recommend!

What as awesome little light this is. I have tried so many of these types of LED lights before, and non of them have ever come close the the durability, and/or the amount of light that this offers. I love that this is rechargeable, but if you don't have time for a recharge, you can always take the battery out and install a different one. That's a great thing for those that just don't have time to wait. As for brightness, its amazing. Lights up a very large area, and illuminates it very, very well. This is perfect for auto mechanics and/or plumbers that work under the hood, or under the sink. Not to mention the fact that you can attach this to just about any metal surface as it comes with a very powerful magnet. This allows you to work hands free, and not have to worry about busting your teeth on a flashlight in the mouth. I love these lights, and definitely recommend!

This is a great little flood light. It's lightweight but puts off significant light. It won't light an entire room very well, but it is bright enough to illuminate a workspace. The design is great. It has a clip and a magnet built into it so you can hang it from a wire, pocket, or stick it to a metal wall, or stud. The unit comes with a replaceable, rechargeable battery and charges from a USB cord (included). It's pretty slow to get a full charge though, but you're likely going to charge this overnight and not need to do it on the job. The USB cable that comes with it is very nice, with a Milwaukee branded connector, and a nice braided cable. Milwaukee should consider selling the cords separately, nerds would love them.

This pocket floodlight is an awesome little tool, with great portability and a respectable 445 lumen output on high for its small size. It does have just one flaw though - the magnet on the back of the clip is too weak. The magnet on the end is plenty strong though, and has no problem holding onto various ferrous surfaces. The biggest innovation Milwaukee introduced with this light is the RedLithium USB battery, which is a single 3.7V cell that can be recharged while still in the tool using a micro USB cable. It's much less bulky than the M12 batteries, so it can fit in small tools like this one, and it's a great solution for not having to use AA or AAA batteries. I measured the charge time at around 45 minutes to an hour for 80% charge, and then 1 hour 45 minutes for a complete charge. You can buy spares if you want as well, so you can swap them out - much better than having an integral battery that you can't take out of the tool! As for run time, I clocked the floodlight on high at 2 hours and 11 minutes on high at 445 lumens. It started flashing at me to tell me the battery was low at 1 hour 49 minutes. So with a run time that's longer than the charge time, you'll always have a charged battery on hand if you get one spare with the separate charger, and have access to USB power somewhere near your work site. I didn't measure the run time on low, but Milwaukee's specification is 11 hours at 100 lumens, and I've never found a lighting product that they make that didn't at least reach the specified run time during my testing. The battery cover has an overmolded rubber gasket running along the interior edge, which provides an IP54 rating against dust and water. The tool isn't completely waterproof, but it should hold up to any rain or splashing water exposure. There are a few ways to mount or hang this light. The back has a clip that can go over a shirt collar, a jeans pocket, or even a lanyard around your neck. The body is designed so it angles the light slightly upward if you set it down on a flat surface. There are also magnets to hold it in place, but I found the one on the back clip is really too weak to be trusted. I tested it on a variety of steel surfaces, from thinner gauge steel on my toolbox all the way to the 2.5mm thick powder coated steel of my safe. It didn't hold reliably on any of the surfaces I tried. When placed so the light was oriented vertically, it would slowly slide down the surface, and sometimes come to a stop. When placed so the light was horizontal, it would completely fall off the surface as it rotated and built momentum. The magnet on the end is plenty strong though, and I never had it slip on me while using it. I think that's the primary mounting method I'll be using with this light anyway, it's just disappointing that the magnet on the back wasn't better planned. Overall I really like this little light, and can see it getting plenty of use from me during lots of projects. It's small enough to fit in a toolbag or a pocket, and bright enough that I won't need to go grab another light if I'm just working in a small area.

A pocket light that has the light output of full size corded flood light. The LED Rover is not a flashlight but rather a flood light - lighting a large area versus a "spot" of a flashlight. At just 6 inches long, the design is remarkably compact for the light output. The Rover 4 volt 2.5 amp hour battery recharges quickly and is removable to be swapped with another redlithium USB battery (only one battery is included). Battery recharging takes place by plugging the included micro USB cable into the Rover and takes less than an hour to recharge a fully depleted battery. There is an LED battery level indicator (fuel gauge) on the side of the Rover that indicates battery life remaining. It also indicates the status when recharging. Likes: - light output - incredible amount of light and good color - no bluish color - two light levels; full at 445 lumens and low at roughly 100 lumens - helps to conserve battery power, however, still impressive light output at low level - built-in magnets, one at the top (head) of the Rover and one built-into the belt clip. I find that the belt clip magnet is not that strong but this could be a good thing so it doesn't pickup every piece of metal scrap - battery life, impressive battery power for so much light output - easy re-charge, USB power is getting easier to find including in vehicles. Rover recharges from my truck USB in less than 1 hour Dislikes: - belt clip, the clip is recessed into the body of the Rover. You have to pull the clip outward to secure it on a belt or pocket. I fear of snapping the Rover plastic clip The Rover is a perfect light for service guys working in dark areas where you need a lot of light.

Milwaukee 445-Lumen LED Rover Rechargeable Pocket Flood Light is a handy light to have in your toolbox. It puts out a bar of light from a very small package that is cool unlike hot halogen ones with that intensity. This is important if working in tight enclosed spots. Its small only about six inches long and weights under six ounces. When working you can put it anyplace and unlike a flashlight it lies flat on its side or held in place- with a small magnet that really hold it firm. Besides the magnet it has a belt or pocket clip so you can carry it as you would any small flashlight. The magnet for tacking up is great for engine or under the carriage work. I see it used for inspection work or could have used it myself recently doing some plumbing in a dark corner. A small point, there should be more magnets to use it in more positions. The light is similar to that delivered by a flood light from eight LED's. LED's have what they call true definition light that eliminates shadows and dark spots. It has two brightness settings, the highest you can't look directly at it or your vision becomes blurred. Can run two hours on this high output and eleven hours on the low setting at 100 lumens. The light is rechargeable only with a USB connection. If you think about it USB chargers are all over the place these days. I really like both its powerful light and its small lightweight size something that both are handy and useful.

At first I thought this wasn't going to work as well as my other battery powered shop light because it's battery was so much smaller and it didn't have an articulating head. I was wrong. The shape of the light's case allows it to be pointed at different angles depending on how you set it down. The light is also evenly spread over a wide area so aiming it isn't critical. Now, instead of tying up one of my 20V batteries for lighting, I can pull this flood light right out of my tool belt and get right to work without having to put on a headlamp or find space for a large shop light. It's also really neat that I can charge this light just about anywhere because it plugs into a USB port. That frees up the limited space I have on chargers for the other batteries. I highly recommend this light for the general handyman, especially as winter approaches and we have less sunlight to work with. It can clip to your belt, shirt pocket, rest on a window sill, or magnetically stick to a toolbox or fusebox. Very versatile and very compact with much more light than you'd expect from its size.

Durable portable light that is easy to secure. The light fits well in your hand but since the LEDs face out to the side (rather than the end like a traditional flash light) it is best served as a small area light. It is solidly built and does not have any moving parts so it can withstand being dropped. It has a thin but inflexible clip that you can use to hang it from your belt, shirt pocket, etc. It also has magnets in the end and clip. The magnet is strong enough to hold it straight out from the wall but will fall if jostled. It can be charged with any micro USB charger (one is included) and needs to be charged prior to first use. The light uses Milwaukee’s Red lithium USB batteries and can be interchanged with others if you have them. An LED status light is color coded to tell you the percentage of battery life remaining when you turn it on. The light claims an 11 hour run time on the low output setting and 2 hours at high. Another quality product.

            Battery Cover Easily Lost
This flashlight has a design flaw. When worn on a tool pouch, just walking around the battery cover can come off just from rubbing against the pouch. Without the battery cover, the flashlight is obviously unusable. Tried contacting Milwaukee to get replacement parts but no luck. This is the third time with this particular flashlight. At just under $40 this is unacceptable.

              Bad battery life
The flashlight is bright and I really like the form factor. The controls are easy to use, the magnet is a plus however.. I got the usb redlithium battery version and the battery doesn't even last 10 minutes. I bought a second battery thinking maybe the battery was bad, same experience. I bought the usb redlithium battery charger thinking maybe the charge part was broken, same experience of less than 10 minute life. It's the flashlight. It just sucks batteries dry too quickly
