Very comfortable gloves. They are tight fitting without over stretching and reasonably breathable. The nitrile palmar surface allows pretty good protection from sharp materials and moderate tackiness for grip. The surface does allow for touch-response use of smart phones/tablets but requires a longer press duration. When sweating the back of the gloves wick some of it away for better comfort. Overall excellent gloves.

Milwaukee’s cut level 5 (A5 ANSI rated), nitrile dipped gloves have dual layer cut protection which I really like. I actually use these as gardening/leaf cleanup gloves because traditional gardening gloves don't hold up as well as these. The nitrile portions of the gloves will outlast the fabric, but overall these Milwaukee gloves are tough! They also provide good dexterity although the cellphone compatible tips (“swipesmart”) are hit and miss on my iPhone (I have big fingers, so typing on a small phone is a challenge as it is). Probably not a good idea to be checking an expensive phone with dirty gloves anyway... it can ruin a phone... trust me! The size large (9”) fit my large hands perfectly. When they get dirty, I wash them in cold water (delicate cycle) and hang dry. Nice product!

These gloves are great to have whenever you are working on a job where you are in danger of getting cut by sharp blades. I have large hands and the X-large size fits well, a little tight but not so tight that it's uncomfortable. I actually like it that they are tight because it helps with dexterity when wearing them. The palms and fingers have a coating that provides excellent grip. It's a bonus that you can operate a touch screen while wearing them.

These gloves are multi-purpose. They are fairly thin, lightweight, and comfortable to wear. They have a nitrile dipped coated front surface that also provides level 3 cut protection. They fit snug but are not overly tight, and the outer woven material breaths well, keeping your hands dry. They offer good dexterity and you can pick up most objects wearing them. The finger tips can be used for swiping smart phones. I have used them as mechanic’s gloves, when doing HVAC work, plumbing, gardening, and general labor. I’ve used them when cutting aluminum, duct work, and glass. You can puncture them with a very sharp and pointed object, but for most purposes they offer very good cut protection. A good value for a good pair of gloves. Milwaukee products are an industry standard.

These are great work gloves. I used them framing, cabinet making and using various power saws. They not only felt great but did excellent job protecting my hands. They state Cut level 3 and sure do feel very safe. They are thickly dipped in nitrile and seem to have some reinforcement on the palm surface. But I still had great range of motion with the stretching fabric on the back of my hands, yet the soft protective palm surface still gave me good feel and dexterity. These would also work equally well for heavy yard work like thorns and briars as well as metal and auto work as well. Another great product by Milwaukee

These work gloves are great for light work and still leave you with plenty of dexterity. The nitrile dipped palms and fingers offer lots of grip, and the backs are breathable so your hands don't get soaked. I've been using mine on the weekends and evenings for handling rough cut lumber while woodworking, and they've held up fine for the last few weeks, and are just starting to show some deterioration on the nitrile dipped surfaces. So durability is right on line with what I'd expect from this price point of gloves. The only thing that doesn't work very well is the "smartswipe" feature in the index fingers. I usually have to swipe/poke my phone multiple times to get it to pick up the motion, and that's with the glove stretched very tightly against my finger for good contact. I suppose it's better than nothing, but sometimes I think it would be faster and less frustrating to just take the glove off, use my phone, and put the glove back on. It's definitely only good for swiping to unlock or answer a call, not for typing anything.

I am a DIYer and although I know I should, I rarely use gloves when working. Since I rarely use them, I didn’t really know much about the different levels of gloves. These gloves are “cut level 1”. After seeing the “cut level”, I decided to research to see what that meant. According to what I read, “cut Level 1” means the gloves are intended for protection against “nuisance cuts” such as those caused by paper cuts, automotive maintenance, parts assembly, and material handling. In other words, these gloves are not intended for heavy work. I have big hands and these X-large gloves fit me comfortably. When I’m wearing them, I still have good dexterity so it’s easy to accomplish my tasks without fumbling around with things. Although I sometimes need heavier duty gloves, these gloves provide me with enough protection for most of the jobs I do around the house. I definitely recommend these gloves for light work around the house.

I like the fact that I do not have to take the gloves off to make a touch screen work. These gloves are very good for work that involves sharp edges. They are not really all around gloves. Moving bricks for example. The gloves were starting to wear after a few hours. I found them best for yard work and use with the chain saw. The fit and feel was not good enough for precision engine work, but great for tight spots where you are lightly to cut or scrape your hands. They do breath a little which help keeping your hands from sweating. Would buy again

Great set of work gloves! These gloves have a comfortable fit and provide protection without loosing ability to work with small parts like fasteners. In fact the nitrile coating helps grip small screws far better than leather or cotton gloves. These gloves also "breathe" better than cotton and leather gloves and the nylon material makes them easy to clean. They are even machine washable! The fit is good, not too tight so that it feels like compression wear and not loose like leather gloves tend to be. I did find that the finger section is a little longer than my finger particularly the index. The Smartswipe feature works best on touchscreen devices that don't have screen protectors. For example my smartphone has a screen protector and there were persistent problems trying to get touch responses, however, my tablet doesn't have a screen protector and it responded well to touch with the gloves. The gloves are ideal for sheetmetal work, the nitrile coating really aides the grip of metal panels. I work with a commercial counter top ice makers and these ice machines are make with laser cut stainless steel panels. I've received a number of "paper-cuts" from the edge of these panels. The Milwaukee cut resistant gloves made working with these ice machines a lot safer without giving up much of the sensitivity that you have working with other glove types.

These Milwaukee cut resistant work gloves were made for machine shop work, but they're perfect for home and garden work, too. I love how incredibly comfortable the strong protective material feels. When gathering thorny branches and lawn debris, they held up so much better than regular gardening gloves. The material breathes and doesn't make you hot or miserable. The gripped palm pads hold firmly to handles. Best of all, I don't have to take them off just to answer the phone or answer a text message. It's amazing. I love them.

These gloves are comfortable to wear. Because of the dipped texture they grip onto things really well. On the back side they are bright red so hopefully you won’t lose them if you put them down in the yard or the workshop. I have large hands so these are good because they stretch a little and fit well. They are puncture resistant which is good as I’m always cutting my hands when working. I haven’t really tested it out so I’ll see how well it works in normal use. It says you can use the gloves for touchscreen devices. I tested this out on my iPhone and noticed that you have to use the full flat of the finger and not the tip for it to work. That’s okay.

I really like the protection these Milwaukee Smartswipe gloves provide. I bought the 9" Large gloves. They were a bit stiff for starters, but the initial "break in" period was fairly quick. Although I've used these gloves for a total of about 2 hours so far, I find the fingers to be pliable enough to pick up .085" and .070" thick washers (see pix) with no effort. I expect the gloves will be more flexible after further use though. The grip is great! No problems holding onto objects. Picking out lumber at the local big box store was a breeze with no issues caused by slivers or staples as can be a problem. I'm not sure what the #5 cut resistant rating is all about. but I think I will have many safe days of use out of these gloves. If you are going to tackle some rough jobs, I think these gloves are a good item to start with. (Check out attached PIX)

The Milwaukee Cut A3 rated gloves provide low level cut protection and are best suited for assembly, appliance manufacturing, automotive, construction, maintenance, material handling, and metal handling. The texture on the gloves is slightly thick and has web type strands across the surface. The gloves fit my hands comfortably but the coating felt thick in some areas and felt slightly uncomfortable when bending one of the fingers. I tested them for puncture and cut resistance. For puncture, I grabbed the stalk of a rose bush to see if the thorns would penetrate the glove. Since the puncture rating on these gloves is a 3 I was a little surprised that the sharp thorn was able to pierce the glove easily. For cut resistance, I laid the gloves on a work bench and swept a razor blade across them in several locations with varying pressure. With light pressure I could see a line in the coating but it did not cut through it. With additional pressure I was able to cut through the coating and some of the nylon/lycra strands but not completely through the glove. With even more pressure, I was able to cut through the glove. What was disappointing was the SMARTSWIPE fingertip feature which is supposed to permit use of touchscreen devices. Unfortunately, none of my devices responded to touch with the gloves. I tried multiple glove fingers, top, back and tip of the fingers, nothing worked. Considering this is a selling point, I cannot recommend the gloves.

The Milwaukee Cut A1 rated gloves provide minimal cut protection and are best suited for assembly, maintenance, material handling, and shipping and receiving. The texture on the gloves is slightly rough and is applied consistently. The gloves fit my hands comfortably and I was able to grab items easily. I tested them for puncture and cut resistance. For puncture, I grabbed the stalk of a rose bush to see if the thorns would penetrate the glove. Since the puncture rating on these gloves is a 1 it was no surprise that the sharp thorn was able to pierce the glove with ease. For cut resistance, I laid the gloves on a work bench and swept a razor blade across them in several locations with light pressure. The razor blade was able to cut through the coating and the underlying nylon/lycra layer with ease. No surprise considering the CUT A1 rating.

A great pair of work gloves. They fit perfectly for the size, the nitrile coating gives great tactility, feel, and toughness, and goes around the sides of the finger and palm for extra protection. The level 5 cut rating is definitely earned. I took a razor sharp knife and pressed into the glove as I ran it across the surface. It did not cut through the glove or even leave a mark. Perfectly satisfied with these gloves from a trusted brand. 5 stars.

This review is for the Milwaukee Nitrile Dipped Cut Resistant Work Gloves, model 48-22-8952, which I got a chance to try out. I'm a home owner / DIY'er, not a pro, so my review will come from that standpoint. I have what I consider to be "medium" sized hands and the Milwaukee gloves came in 9"/L size and are just about right on my hands. (Tip of my thumb to the tip of my pinkie finger is 8 1/2"). While offering a "level 5" cut resistance the gloves are not overly stiff and offer a good grip in the finger tips. I tried them outside (18 degrees f., in a snowstorm) and these are definitely not wind proof; I could feel the cold wind coming through the glove material on the top of my hands. Of course, that's not their designed usage - but I wanted to give them a go, anyway, just to see. They did remain flexible in the cold and, if not for the more-than-brisk wind, would have been, I think, fine. I tried them in my unheated garage with the door open and they were flexible, offered a good grip, and were warm enough. The Milwaukee "SmartSwipe" feature is supposed to allow the use of touch screens. I have a touch screen tablet, and had no problems moving text boxes, highlighting text, tapping on on-screen buttons, etc. It's not as accurate as using a bare finger or stylus, of course, but it works, and I didn't have to remove the glove to get the tablet to work. (Not being a pro I don’t actually use a tablet when doing chores or maintenance but, having a tablet handy, I figured I’d give it a try anyway). The gloves are comfortable to wear and (once I returned to my heated basement shop out of the cold) I didn't find them to create or trap perspiration. The gloves are machine washable, but I don't think The Boss would be pleased if I start washing my soiled work gloves in "her" washing machine, so someone braver than I will have to test that out. I can state that the gloves can be soaped and rinsed off in a work sink and hung up to dry w/o shrinking. Working with some sheet metal and a power bit driver (a model 2760-20 specifically) I had no problems in operating the driver while wearing the glove; using aviation clips were a breeze. Fit and finish are fine, no loose threads or uneven stitching. The gloves are not made in the U.S., but offer the 90-day Home Depot return guarantee. These make a really nice addition to my tool kit. HTH Regards, Jim

These nitrile coated gloves are a good item to keep in your tool kit. I can't tell you how many times I've nicked myself while working. These things didn't even exist years ago when I used to do a lot of wire fencing and I would cut my hands on a regular basis. Needless to say these gloves would of saved me on a lot of bandaids. I'm also a little ashamed to admit I keep a pair in my kitchen drawer for when I need to work with my filet and chef's knives, as the men in my family have been prone to clumsy kitchen injuries. Great gloves!

Way too thick
Other nitrile gloves have a lot more dexterity for their lowest level. These are so stiff and cumbersome even at the lowest level. Don't recommend at all. They feel so stiff!

These gloves are great for working in retail because the protective layer of the rubber isn't too thick so you're able to handle cash with them on. However if you have a hand size in between Medium and Large then it's probably going to be a little tight around the thumb area. The price is also important here since they are probably going to be the most expensive gloves in that category but it's Milwaukee so you can expect great quality.

I’ve bought these before, they’re a good thickness- protect my hands but don’t limit dexterity. They also work with the touchscreen on my phone and my tablet.
