Works good small and light switched from a 20v brand after 10 years due to battery’s frying and triggers and knobs not working

I love this 12v system. It's lightweight, compact and packs a LOT of power. When Home Depot does NOT have Milwaukee Tools on sale, they are a bit to very expensive, but on sale, they are work every dime. I have had Milwaukee 12v Batteries for going on over 10 years that still possess over 60% of their original charge capacity. If you use them within their capabilities, they are AWESOME.

good battery for the higher powered m12 tools and nice bag
nice not having to change out the typical 2ah batteries twice as frequently compared to the 4ah units. never hurts having more bags. I like to use them for less used tools to make easy to grab "kits" for when they are needed

I bought this 2.0 battery for my M12 tools that needed a little more run time over the regular battery, and didn't want the weight & bigger size of the 4.0. It's the same size & looks exactly like the regular battery and the only way of knowing that it's a 2.0 is the front label with the small red 2.0, or the tiny model # on the bottom. Milwaukee should make the 2.0 numbers much larger and backed by white like the M12 logo to make it easier to see in a tool bag or in limited light. The main thing is I did notice a longer run time on my hand held M12 vacuum (which is a power hog) and on my drill (I use it with a wire wheel for paint removal on wright iron railings).

      Amazing Battery
The M12 Redlithium batteries are pretty amazing, and these 4.0Ah XC batteries seem to pack an extra punch in addition to their longer run time. They charge very quickly too. I had been using the standard 1.5Ah compact batteries with my M12 tool lineup, and finally got a hold of one of these 4.0Ah extra capacity batteries. The big boost in run time was the obvious bonus, but since I've heard that the XC batteries can supply certain Milwaukee tools with more power, I thought I'd run some experiments to verify the speculation. The idea makes sense in theory: more cells connected in parallel allow for more current to be discharged without the tool overheating as quickly. More current draw equals more power. The first test I ran was with my M12 5-3/8" circular saw. I took a sheet of 1/2" MDF, and purposefully wavered my cut line while I was ripping it. I stalled the tool while using the M12 compact battery, but only bogged it down while using the M12 extra capacity battery. Keep in mind that this was a very unscientific test, since I had no way of measuring the amount of torque I was applying to the handle in my attempts to get the blade to bind. The second test I ran was with my M12 1/4" FUEL impact driver. I drove a 1/4"x4" lag bolts into the end grain of a 2x4 and timed how long it took each run with the different batteries. I attempted to just let the weight of the tool drive the lag bolts, rather than pushing down on it, since I figured it would be more consistent. The XC batteries are around twice the weight of the CT ones, so that may have played into the driving speeds a minimal amount. I repeated the test four times for each battery type, and ended up with an average of 4.3 seconds for the XC battery, and 5.2 seconds for the CT battery. So both my "tests" came out in favor of the conclusion that the XC batteries supply a bit more power to the M12 tools (at least the FUEL versions). My experimental results are backed up by referencing maximum torque specifications listed on XC kits vs CT kits for the otherwise same product number tools. The extra capacity kits generally list 8-12% more torque than the compact ones. Examples include the M12 2403 drill/driver, and the M18 2604 impact hammer. Note that both of those are FUEL models, so that may play into which tools utilize the extra current output capacity.

      Excellent Performance and Lightweight!
This compact battery performs very well and does last longer than some of the larger batteries from some of my other tools. Although it is a small size, the power that it delivers is awesome! I enjoy the Milwaukee drill and Sawzall, and with this extra battery, I don't worry about having to stop in the middle of a project. I do have the larger, extended life one, but this one is so light (it measures 3.25" tall and weighs less than 8 oz.) that I'm always reaching for this compact one first. It is really nice having this spare battery on hand!

      Even more powerful
Its amazing how Milwaukee is able to pack so much power into such a small battery. These are light weight but last a long time. The new battery v.2 boasts 2x longer and 20% more power and it's believable. I'm not in the middle of a job right now so I can't test the durability, but it's always great to have another battery on hand. Powerwise these seem to supercharge my impact driver and my reciprocating saw, but without any way to measure the power I just have to believe the hype. Regardless these are amazing power plants for a great set of tools. Very happy to have them. I didn't drop test this one but I've dropped my v1 batter from a 6' ladder a couple of times trying to change it and they handle the impact without damage.
