I purchased the M12 cordless drill driver/impact driver in a slightly different set (had right angle head on the drill) and absolutely love it. The batteries charge quickly and last a long time under use. The impact driver is fantastic - I did buy the drill bit set to complement this setup. The only minor nit that I have is that it is too easy to push the "forward/reverse" button when you are using it. But other than that - absolutely delighted with it.

I'm a wood worker and use these tools in the shop. Perfect for what I do, including sanding on the lathe. And with the special, where you get the free 6 Ah battery, how can you go wrong. I use the free battery for my M12 Jig Saw.

Before I start, I would like to say I am completely unbiased when it comes to tools and judge them as they are.
I have been dying to try these brushed drill and drivers since I bought my Bosch drill/driver set, to see how these stack up. I will be making a few comparisons between the two, as I believe that the 2 kits are the top of the line 12v brushed drills/drivers. If you don't want to read the entire review, my verdict is, that I believe the Bosch kit to be a better deal; and now I will elaborate.
Picked these up with anticipation because hey! it's fun getting new stuff! The first thing I notice right off the bat is the box and case. While not a big deal at all, I felt the box to be cheap and the bag to be very cheap. I would trade the bag it comes with ( Which looks nothing like the picture ) for a 10-12" Husky bag as it screams low budget. By contrast the Bosch had a thick protective box and a great tool case that is very easy to access. Which leads me to the next small thing. The Bosch batteries came fully charged and ready to go, the Milwaukee had one battery at half capacity, and the other right below. Now to the meat...
The first thing I notice is how much larger these are compared to the Bosch and wow, they are also very top heavy ( I'll give Milwaukee it's praise soon, don't worry ). The Bosch is light and INCREDIBLY balanced and very ergonomic. They are a true joy to use. The locking toggle on the M12 also feels MUCH cheaper than the Bosch, but it is something I can live with. The batteries on the M12 are much easier to remove too, which is great.
So now after about an hour of charging in the battery, which is pretty nice and not as hard to plug a battery into. I pop the batteries in and the first thing I notice is that thee Milwaukee set has quite a bit more torque. It felt compact and powerful on my hands. When you pull the trigger, the front led light turns on as well as the battery gauge which is nice. The Bosch impact had a brighter led but the Milwaukee had a nice long long on after the trigger is pressed. These also have belt clips that can be moved to either side to fit your needs.
The Milwaukee definitely packs a punch and makes drilling a breeze. I drilled the same things with both the Bosch and the Milwaukee ( 2 workbenches being assembled ). The bosch drill no problem and the impact drove it in nicely. The M12 drill, for some reason LOVED to make my shop a Milwaukee smokehouse and after each and every drill, within 1-2sec, smoke would be spewing out like a volcano, but maybe a defective unit. The impact also could not drive the screw in all of the way which makes zero sense, since the M12 obviously has more torque ( enough to slightly twist the hand ).
One large thing I would like to mention is customer service. I am aware that Bosch doesn't have the 5 years warranty that M12 has, but when I emailed Bosch, I received responses within a couple of hours or at most the same day and they knew their stuff. So far I have sent either 4 or 5 emails to Milwaukee and received 1 single short response. Months have passed on the others, so it does worry me just a tad ( Yes I checked my spam folder ).
Honestly, if Bosch had the selection for 12v tools that Milwaukee had, it would be an easy decision. At the end of the day I would have to go with the M12 for it's warranty and it's vast tool selection, power and it's everywhere and easy to find bits and add-ons for it.
Finally if you only want a drill and drive I would say get the Bosch; if you want to venture down the lane of new and fun tools, definitely get Milwaukee. Hope this helps someone out there.

Available in stores until Dec 31 2015
While this deal is not available online, it is available most stores. Some combo kits have a coupon on them that specifies the different additional tools (not just the ratchet but also the light, or a heater, or flashlight, or 90 degree drill, or larger battery). So just ask them and they should include the other items when purchasing the drill and hex impact. Another weird thing i noticed about this deal is you can return the additional item and get like $63 back dropping the combo kit price to only $106, or, return the combo kit and get the ratchet or other for only $63! Crazy good deal that is not well advertised but it's all true!

The set is great value. These are great tools for the so it yourself handyman. I have used the drill, impact, sazall, ratchet for several jobs around the home and vehicles and I'm still on the the first charge of the batteries. That being said I think if you are a professional you might want to step up to the Fuel line for even more battery life and power. The flashlight is not that impressive and would not recommend it on it's own.

The charger is not charging correctly. The lights continuously blink back and forth, and the charge is weak at best.

Great price for such a versatile set of tools. The drill is powerful, the ratchet worked great. The light is good, I just wish the light wound be able to focus.
I highly recommend this set of tools!

Do not buy
I ordered the kit and the hammer drill trigger was off. I returned it to the store and then reordered the same product thinking it was faulty. I received the same kit today, August 21, 2024, and faced the exact same issue with the same drill I needed for work. I had hoped they would work but unfortunately, nothing has been used yet due to the returns. It's very irritating.
