High, high quality tool. No loose pieces on this saw. Even though all adjustment levers are quick to release and push down, there is no extra vibration when using the saw or putting it down. It has a bit of a higher pitch sound when using compared with a corded saw and is heavier to carry due to the battery but that’s it. The saw and included blade cut extremely well. No resistance. Straight lines are easy to keep along the clear sight path. Depth and bevel adjustments are quick and it’s easy as with other saws to add a rip fence. There is a side sawdust exhaust port but it can be removed and exchanged with the included dust extractor converter if you want to hook it up to a vacuum or other device. This kit includes the new 12.0 Ah battery; the saw will still run with the same power using any of the other M18 types batteries but with shorter usage time. Charge is relatively rapid. This is definitely the saw to get.
Pros: Accurate, All In One, Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Powerful, Sturdy
I bought this saw kit w. 12 aH battery, and considered returning it before I used it (so much money). However, while I was considering that I landed a job that called for cutting a bunch of lumber. So I finally broke down and started using this thing. It is so much better than my old cordless 5" milwaukee circular saw, and my 20 year old craftsman corded 7 1/4". I ripped 1" off a 12' long 2x8 on sawhorses at a job, and was instantly a believer. The deck on this saw is so much better than any of the cheap saws I have used in the past, and also a lot better than the 5" Milwaukee cordless. And the power is great, it didn't hesitate at all during the 1 day of use. All these years struggling to make accurate cuts....all I needed was a better tool (don't we always need better tools). I will update in a few months after I have used this more, and used on thicker materials. By the way, added benefit...the charger is a quick charger and I think it may work faster than the old line (but I purchased a 6 battery charger so don't have much use for these single charge ones anymore). It also comes with a nice attachment so you can hook the saw up to a shop vac. When your in houses, that can be a real timesaver not having to run outside to cut lumber or worry about making a mess.
And I am not one of the autobot paid reviewers on Home Depot website...
I have been skeptical of battery powered saws due to past experience with them not able to sustain power throughout a cut, but this saw cuts through wood like a hot knife through butter. I stand corrected. It out performs my Hitachi corded circular saw. Definitely worth every penny. Best saw I've ever used hands down. The rafter hook is a nice bonus as well. The battery is amazing as well. It literally lasts all day.
This is a solid and efficient circular saw. The battery lasted me over 30 2 x 12 cuts, several 4 x 4 cuts and a bunch of 2 x4 cuts while building a deck. All pressure treated. I was very surprised. Recharge of the big 12 amp battery does take about 2 hours and it certainly adds weight to the saw but I got used to it very quickly and it did not impact my ability to cut well. My favorite feature of the saw is being able to move it easily without an extension cord. I can go from the work site to the driveway to make cuts easily.
This saw is accurate and has great guides along with a light, it adjusts for depth and angled cuts as well. The blade that comes with it is pretty solid and attaches with a hex wrench. The bag for the tool is roomy and I can stick my impact driver and drill/driver in there as well.
The saw has a safety you push down before depressing the trigger to operate. It can be a bit finicky but is a good feature. The blade guard opens smoothly during cuts although you can still open it manually if you choose. The saw comes with an attachment where you can hook your shop vac to the dust ejection port which grabs the majority of saw dust. There is also a light on the saw which lights up forward of the blade so you can see well in low-lit areas.
Overall, an excellent circular saw with surprisingly long battery life. My 9 amp/hour batteries work with it as well. The saw comes with one 12amp/h battery, charger, roomy bag, shop vac converter, a blade and instructions.

Great product. Works with all M18 batteries. Kit comes with bag, saw, rapid charger, allen wrench(on board storage into the saw), a 24Tooth framing blade, and a 12.0ah Battery. I recommend using a5ah battery instead of the 12 due to the weight. The weight was not an issue when I was making straight cuts, but while making beveled cuts with the 12.0 the saw becomes very unbalanced. As there is a lot of weight on the right side of the saw.
The weight without the battery was about 8.6 lbs,
10.2 lbs with my 5ah
11.8 with my 12ah battery
Not just for 12.0 ah batteries:
I was able to use my 5.0ah battery as well as my 12.0ah battery with no problems. I have a 3 and 9 I have not used them yet but I will try
What attracted me to the saw and performance:
.I used this saw on some 2x on a jobsite and it ripped right through it. In comparison I was using the 2630 and 2730 and really SAW the difference in speed. The depth guide is behind the blade near the handle, there are markings that are kind of hard to see as the etchings are the same color as the guard and not colored The main reason I decided to get another framing saw was not due to the speed or power. As I am getting older I want to take better care of myself, so safety plays a big part. Breathing in all of the saw dust and especially the dust from MDF is not good for you. I got this solely for the dust port. I ended up buying a tracksaw from a brand that I was not invested in months ago, only because the tracksaws were the only saws on the market with a dust port. This saw is a blade right saw. I am a righty and prefer the blade left styles, but I am kind of glad this a blade right. I connected my vacuum to it I did not have to worry about the hose getting in the way. I cannot wait to try this with the new bac- pac- vac, especially since supposedly it runs quieter. The dust port worked wonderfully as it collected about 90% of the dust from the saw. So I am happy, in addition to safety reasons, having the dust port on the saw attached to vacuum will reduce the cleanup time afterwards.
Installing the dust port is simple. Just unscrew the dust shoot on the saw, insert the tab on the far right into it's slot and then screw the port to the saw.
The rapid charger was able to charge the 12ah battery in about 100 minutes. In comparison , the regular m12/m18 charger took about 210minutes to charge the battery.
