The battery is great and it is so much lighter than my gas weedeater. I should of purchased this years ago!

Runs fine but does not seem any more powerful than the 40 volt Ryobi , however I hope the batteries are more dependable as the Ryobi batteries have proven to be junk and even though there is a warranty on them , the hoops you have to jump through to replace them is impossible .

This thing is crazy powerful nearly pro gas level. If it holds up it will be a great investment and not having to wear hearing protection while weed eating is nice when it’s hot out.

The power head and accessorizes work very well. This trimmer head eats trimmer line faster than it does weeds. One line always breaks off inside the head making it necessary to rmove all the line and reload. Not what I want in a weed triimer.

The trimmer worked great up with no issues until last weekend. After a little over 3 yrs of residential use the selector lights up but the motor does nothing when the trigger is pulled. I tried multiple batteries that all work fine in other tools & the blower. I spoke to tech support and was told it was a sensor that requires an entire electronics replacement which would cost $152.31. The Lighteningmax is $148 plus $11 return shipping, so to get this trimmer up and running again would cost $159. I do not find that to be acceptable, especially so close to the warranty end date. I am now regretting selling my 7yr old Stihl that never had a single issue after buying this trimmer. I wanted to like this trimmer, I did like this trimmer, but now I'm torn on replacing it with another Milwaukee, another brand battery trimmer, or going back to gas... An additional thing to note is the 9.0ah battery this came with was replaced under warranty. That was a good experience although it would have been better if the battery didn't completely die at ~1.5 yrs.

Just don't buy it online from home depot tool is great!

So far so good on 2 uses around the yard (15,000 sq ft) on one charge, will update if anything goes wrong with time. My only problem with it is that it throws so much of what I am cutting back to me, never had this before. And I mean bad, from head to bottom even my back. Wearing eye protection is a must.

Worth the money battery last long time

easy to assemble, battery last for hours, light weight.

Strange not hearing the gas motor but used for 5 hours on M18 12V amp hour battery and it cuts great. Looking to get another.
