After only having this hole hog for 6 months and using it twice I can’t believe what a pain it was. Full 6AH battery and it just stopped working drilling thru 2 studs. No power at all not even to remove the drill bit. Looked like a fool in front of my customer after talking so good about it since he’s never seen a cordless hole hog before. Not even sure having to warranty it out is worth it. Just got back my M12 impact for a broken trigger switch and came back worse. Don’t it trust me!!

Love this drill! The safety features don’t try to tear your arm off when in a bind. Quick lock chuck is great as well.

Drill seems like it would be a great addition but if you need to drill bigger holes its extremely weak. Needs a speed or torque adjustment like the m18 drills have. Try to use a 1 1/2" self feed bit the hole hawg couldn't get it done but the m18 drill on speed 1 plowed right through with no problems. Poor design for a tool with its sole purpose to drill holes.

I’m a big red guy, when they told me about 10-11 years ago I could lose the cord on my right angle drill, I ran to the store for this thing. I purchased the gen 1 and it was decent for what it was, but still didn’t have the wrist-fracturing power of corded. Then when the GEN II came out, I figured they’d worked out all the kinks…not only was I wrong, I was let down. The RPM is higher, it’s stronger, but I can’t drill consistent holes without it stalling 2-3 holes in. I end up using an m18 drill.

Work much better than the bi metal version. Drills much faster and the cores are much easier to remove.

it looks like heavy duty tool but is not. i was using a 3/4 bit and it got stuck multiple time so i have to use a regular 18 volts drill to pull the bit out

Should have bought sooner. I install mini splits and do plumbing, 2.5 or 3 inch holes on a daily. This works perfect!

Drills a 1" hole through one 2x great. However it will not go through two or more studs. Seems a common problem in many reviews. Into a second stud and the drill stops. Most of the time we have to use our corded hawg to remove the bit.
