This is the best power tool purchase I’ve made in a while. I have an acre of land and it cleared it out with no issue. The only problem is the battery life is about 40 mins so you need a backup battery. Otherwise, great tool

I ordered this for same day delivery and after 2 days I contacted Home Depot to be told they don't carry it and no other store does. And they want to take 5 business days to return my money. Home Depot, you should be ashamed of your TERRIBLE service. How dare you claim to have things in stock on the site, offer same day and then not actually have anything at all AND NOT CONTACT THE CUSTOMER! There was no way I was getting this! You took my money anyway. I hope all your shareholders rot.

This saw was great for the first 10 to 15 times I used it. after that I could slowly notice the Life being sucked out of my 12 amp battery. It was out of warranty, so I lost it, and severely shortened the life of two 8 amp batteries. I own 20 other Milwaukee tools and batteries and I hate when someone leaves a negative review and they just don’t know how to use the product but I’m telling you if you don’t baby this saw it will kill your battery.

Let me start by saying this 16" chainsaw is a BEAST!! The original bar/chain cut well but you will definitely pop the chain off many times. After the slight upgrade (from TSC) I haven't had a chain pop off yet! This saw will eat through batteries if you're doing hefty cutting but that is to be expected. Only use high output batteries for best results. I could not be any happier with my purchase, buy one today if you're contemplating.

Unboxed it and put the guard and handle together, within minutes out of the box and assembled, the drive shaft connection came apart and the head no longer spins. No where in the directions does it say to take this apart. I did not take it apart - it fell apart. Images show the drive shaft and socket it goes into... I am taking it back to Home Depot tomorrow to see what they want to do with it. My review is rated on this connection falling apart.

Waste of 200. First milwaukee product thst has missed for me. Stick with gas on the weedeater. Paper on the head not even plastic

We needed a string trimmer to clear some overgrowth behind a fence on our property. The Milwaukee Fuel Cordless String Trimmer took all the overgrowth down and some thicker stuff I wasn’t expecting it to. Keep in mind, it’s not for decent sized brush, but it cleared everything else with ease. The assembly straight out of the box was easy. The battery life is also excellent! We ran it at the faster setting for about three and a half hours and used 1/4 of battery life. Highly recommend!

If you like weedeating for more than 20 minutes at at time, or 30 feet sections without overheating, this is not the weedeater for you. Even with the 12.0 high output batteries it struggles to do the most basics of tasks. 10 minutes into a job it will have a noticeable dip in performance. By 20-25 minutes in you are forced to stop and wait an hour or two for it to cool down. If you have a very small yard than I can see this working, but it does not live up to the price tag.

It was easy to assemble. I have found that the spool wears out and needs to be replaced. Plenty of power for trimming.

I purchased this kit during the middle of the summer last year. So I admittedly haven't used it to its full capacity up until now. Over this past weekend I needed to clear a fairly large chunk of my yard in order to make space for 29 Emerald Green Arbravitaes and 12 new hostas. Having used numerous attachments individually for a number of use cases made the project an overall breeze.

I purchased this kit on special for like $350 plus tax just for the blower alone. Figured I would sell the stringer in the battery, however I end up using the string trimmer one day to help out somebody, and I love it! Technically, I have no use for a string trimmer, but it’s so fun to use. But the blower on the other hand, I should’ve purchased this along time ago. Because there’s so many applications for it on the construction site.

I was looking into buying a trimmer since forever. Was looking at other brands and reviews but everything kept leading me back to Milwaukee. Their tools might be on the pricey side but honestly they are worth every single penny put into them. You will not be disappointed with this trimmer at all. I’ve used other trimmers none come close to the force this one has. You can count on it to get the job done through very thick brush. Amazing like all Milwaukee tools.

Broken in less than a weeks work. Internal pin broke and retainer made of plastic. Gear driven tightener failed as well. Chainsaws need metal parts not plastic. The saw cut well and was well balanced. However this thing is a waste of money, as it won’t handle light work.

Chain came of 13 times while downing and bucking up 3 small tree's. I know it sounds like fun to stop working 13 times to reattach the chain, and if your goal is to not cut wood, it can be. If you are cold during winter because you couldn't collect enough wood, you can always keep active by reattaching this chain over and over.

Pros: Starts every time. No carb to clean. No gas. Quality. Cons: 12ah bat is costly & is known to be a paper weight within a year or 2. 12ah battery = about 2 hrs with med. trees. Does not compare to a gas chainsaw in speed or continuous run time. Can't freely turn the chain to sharpen it. Drinks bar oil very fast. I am a new wood-stove owner, and after this first season cutting with my Milwaukee Chainsaw along side friends with gas chainsaws, I am selling this and moving to gas.

I purchased this kit just for the free blower. I figured I would sell off the string trimmer, battery and charger. That was the plan, but then one day, I cracked open the box, and I actually started using the string trimmer and it made me feel powerful. Like Tony, Montana or Arnold Schwarzenegger! Plus the blower is awesome, so many different uses for the blower and they make it easy because there is No gas,oil or any of that stuff.

I am happy with the operation of the unit overall, but it has melted the negative contact on my XC8.0 battery pack. I have seen many reports of this problem.

Worked great for a while, then started to melt my 8.0 battery. Thought it could have been an issue with the battery, tried a (5.0) battery and started melting it. Blower works like a charm, wish the weed eater did as well. I’m a lineman, Milwaukee has really stepped up their game in our trade with great tools, I wish I had the same quality while doing yard work. Highly recommend the blower, the weed eater caused my low rating.

For the second Milwaukee M18 trimmer, it has had a failure in the head unit and is non operational. Here is a summary of the situation (and my next steps): PROPERTY: One acre property, with about 1/2 an acre in grass (with long common area with culvert and community mailbox). The remaining property is wooded. USE: Personal use around house, approximately every other week for about 2 hours of run time. FAILURE: At the head unit and shaft (breakage) PICTURES: Attached RESULT: Move to new brand

I was extremely hesitant to get a battery powered trimmer but after use it for the 4th I will 100% recommend it Ofcourse it would make even more sense if you are a Milwaukee guy already either way 5 starts for this trimmers

Right out of the box I followed instructions and filled it with “loggers choice” bar and chain oil, held the trigger for a generous 30 seconds and chain was still dry. Held it again for 60 seconds while holding tip and looking for overspray, still dry as a bone. Removed chain and bar and still nothing coming out. Returned to store and exchanged for a new one. Filled with PowerCare brand off shelf at Home Depot and worked great.

Love it. Few years of home use, up to the task every time. Every person I've lent it to wanted to buy one after using it. Onboard wrench storage makes it easy to change or adjust the chain on the fly. The 16" bar gives me ample clearance for any log I should be cutting with a battery powered saw, anything larger I'd use gas. Cut up the neighbors tree pictured on 8amp battery with ease, only overheated a few times. Wish there was a case, it drips a bit of oil from the bottom afterward.

I have had two of the same models and they both have failed at the point where battery connects to contacts and contact module is loose and creates a melting point at contacts/ battery terminals due to vibratiothen oil n , would suggest securing contact block for zero movement and

Use it for edger but not weed trimmer. The quick load string trimmer head has a bump cap that will fail in just a few months and Milwaukee has gone the garbage route of not selling the 2$ cap. Instead they tell you to purchase a new head at 40$+. Pretty pathetic for a company that usually has good customer service but it looks like they are going to way of all other companies and just don’t care about their customers anymore. Was told echomatic pro head. pn21560031 fits and lasts.

Was skeptical when I bought the saw, but I have one of the Milwaukee Weedeaters and it has been a champ, so decided to give it a shot. Loved not having to mess with a small engine and all their moodiness. Just pull the trigger and cut. It handled everything 6” and under with ease. I cut some that were 8-10” and it managed just fine on them as well, just had to pay attention to the chain speed. Chain stayed tight the entire time I cut. Pic is one 8 amp battery worth of cutting.

This is the biggest pile of crap I have ever bought. This is a disappointment to the M18 lineup. I would not recommend this ever again to anyone. One tree is all I got though the first day.

I own several Milwaukee power tools and have been happy with their performance. I decided to purchase the brushless string trimmer instead of a gas weed eater because I already owned multiple batteries. VERY disappointed after several months of ownership, the trimmer will run for a few minutes, overheat and stop; head has also worn out after only a few months, common issues! Glad I didn't invest in the other attachments as I was planning on doing.
