Sad times for a once great store, even sadder for team red.
My review is not about the tool, i felt compelled to write this.At 11:30 at night after a long day at work, i ran to the fence like a kid on Christmas for the box that had my hole hawg. The box looked fine so I carried it in, slipped out my razor knife and opened the box to find a hole hawg, unwrapped in the box, missing the chuck key. I’ve spent tens of thousands on Milwaukee tools at Home Depot, never got a box in all those purchases that had an unwrapped tool. what do i do now? im out 300 on a used tool, Home Depot shipped the tool purchased from Milwaukee, someone put it in the box knowing it was used so who was it, id gladly buy my tools ace or cal ranch as they also carry Milwaukee, maybe even new Milwaukee tools. Could only put one photo because I’ve exposed someone for fraud.

My new best buddy!
I have the regular corded Milwaukee Reciprocating Saw (it is amazing) but I also wanted the cordless one hand Reciprocating Saw. This saw did not disappoint. It is so easy to use and with the right blade its like cutting butta.

Bad Service
I ordered a blower, the 2 batteries and the free item ( a sawzall ) Home Depot first set delivery date in November 25, then changed to November 28. When it finally arrived, I received incorrect and missing items. They have the worst delivery service, I will never buy online again, I have wasted too much time.

The Little Terror That Can
I paired this with a 12 inch Diablo 3 tpi blade and knocked all of the limbs, large and small, off a medium-large size tree. I was beyond impressed. Very little vibration, light enough for one handed use, and more than enough power even on larger 8-10" limbs. This was definitely a chainsaw job and probably beyond the intended use of this tool, but it did it anyways with aplomb!

Simply awesome
My Milwaukee and Ridgid 18v brushless one handed sawzalls are my favorite tools in my shop. Don't buy the Ryobi when it comes to this particular tool. You will be more satisfied with the Milwaukee or Ridgid. Great tools!!!

I normally do not write negative reviews but I wanted to share my experience with this product. Milwaukee makes great products however the hackzall in my experience is not one of them. I use this saw 2-3 times a week in my work and after less than 1 year I noticed the vibration had increased greatly and when in use the sound of the tool is extremely loud. The handle gets so hot you need gloves to hold it comfortably. The vibration now is so intense it hurts your hands and makes using it a dreaded chore. I have never abused the tool and am only cutting styrofoam with occasional wood every now and then. I will attach photos to my post to show how new the tool looks. It is extremely disappointing to pay hard earned money for a quality tool and have it wear out in less than a year. I have a corded sawzall that I have had for over 25 years and it still runs great. It is just heavy and with the cord it creates a work hazard. In summary for potential buyers I would say if you are someone that may use this tool once every few months then it may work great for you with many years of service. If you use it once a year to prune a tree or shrub it could last your lifetime however if you are a professional that uses it weekly do not expect to get a years worth of use out of it. It is designed in my opinion as a throw away tool once it breaks as parts are not available to fix it on your own. I hope others have better luck with this model than I have had.

UPGRADE FROM THE ORIGINAL
Love this hacksaw. Great for overhead work. One handed operation and any other need. When the band saw and sawzall do not fit this guy will and perform the same. I keep this at an arms reach cause its so convinient to grab and go. Especially when running conduit overhead. I bought this set for $250 with a 5.0 battery charger and bag. A bonus was vacuum. Love milwaukee tools

This review is for the Milwaukee “Hackzall” battery powered reciprocating saw. This saw is part of the Milwaukee “M18 Fuel” line of battery powered tools so the battery is interchangeable with any of the other “M18 Fuel” tools. This saw did not come with a battery so it was fortunate that I already had two batteries for a Milwaukee impact wrench. This saw is somewhat different than a typical reciprocating saw because it is designed for one handed operation. The saw comes with a six inch blade but blades are also available in four inch and twelve inch blade lengths. Setup is very easy. You twist a knob and insert the blade which locks into place. You then snap the battery on and you’re ready to go. The trigger has a lock for safety which you switch off by the simple press of a button. The blade moves at a variable speed depending on how much you press the button. When I used the saw, I found that it was very powerful and never bogged down when I was using it. As an experiment, I cut a 2 x 4 piece of wood and it went through without a problem. Although the saw is designed for one handed operation, when I was cutting the 2 x 4, I needed to use my other hand to add a little downward force. For lighter uses, one hand would be more than adequate. I also have a standard reciprocating saw but this saw will come in handy especially when you need to use it in tighter spaces. The angle of the grip is good and it is comfortable to use. There was very little vibration while I was using the saw. I’ve never run the battery all the way down but it seems to run for a very long time without needing a charge. This is an excellent saw and will come in handy for a variety of uses. I definitely recommend this saw.

Awesome power tool!!! This is a tool only package!! The battery and the blade in the photo were purchased separately. After owning multiple tools that use the same battery, it makes the tool bag a lot lighter and more convenient without the cords and added weight!! The feel of the trigger is very precise for ease of cutting!! The saw has a LED light on the front that makes cutting in dark areas very easy. The tool has an overall feel of quality and heavy duty attributes only found on the best of tools. I would strongly recommend to anyone looking to fill out their tool bag! GREAT PRODUCT!!

I needed a compact reciprocating saw and decided on the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18-Volt Brushless Cordless Hackzall. This saw is perfect for working on ladders, tight spaces or anywhere that one-handed operation is needed. At only 4.15 lbs., it's very light and well balanced. After using the Milwaukee Hackzall for several projects, I am quite impressed with it's performance.
The M18 Cordless Hackzall includes a brushless motor which provides extended runtime and greater durability over standard brushed motors. It uses a no-tool blade changer and provides 7/8 inch stroke with variable speed motor from 0-3000 strokes per minute. The ergonomics are outstanding and the rubber handle provides good vibration control.
The Milwaukee Hackkzall is a great addition for any contractor or anyone that needs a cordless one-handed reciprocating saw. Highly Recommended!!

I love the fact that this hackzall is cordless but I did have to purchase a battery and charger separately before trying it out. It is very easy to insert the hackzall blade and quite easy to operate after a few learning curves. This was the first time I used such a saw and it will be perfect for crafts and odd jobs that require cutting. It is also great that you can freestyle your cuts and are not limited to straight cuts.
Every thing was assembled. But using the size batter on the frount of the box it stoped working when using. After drilling one hole did not matter what size hole it was with. I only used new drill bits also. They were a 1 inch by 16 wood bit or a 3/4 by 4 inch wood bit. I spent more time removing the drill bit with a wrench then drilling. Soooooooo disappointing and a waste of time.

Constant failure
Constantly overheating, stopping, overloading batteries. Can barely get through one layer of brick. Clearly not made for anything heavy duty. Garbage tbh.
