Just picked up about 2 hours ago , packing seemed adequate but when removed throat plate to install blade and notice 2 washers laying in bottom close to vacuum port. One is a very small locknut that literally falls apart as I pick it up. On inspection the riving plate appears to be where they came from . Assembly diagram doesn’t seem to match what I see there 3 4mm hex screws vertically aligned top and bottom has longshafts center clamps plate and allows you to adj clamping force. I do not see the 2.5mm set screws for aligning riving knife. Truth be told have never used riving knife and for past 30 years blade guards never installed. That said I’m fully convinced the stupid gene kicked in with all its glory when I turned 50 and I’m convinced all men should probably be recertifide in proper use of power tools and ladders. If a friend mentions chainsaw and ladder in same sentence they need an intervention! With that said I’m never pleased when someone in assembly over torques and shears a part and it still passes inspection. I hate taking stuff back and will rereview once I have interacted directly with Milwaukee.

So I'll start off by stating I've only used the saw a couple of times on the job and played around with it in the shop a little too. I did have to square things up a tad and do some adjustments but that was expected. The first time I used it I was super impressed with the true corded like power but I was dissappointed because the cuts didn't turn out very smooth at all with saw gouges in it somewhat consistantly because the blade seemed to have too much play/bend to it. I did some research and learned a lot. I will confess with my full size corded model I rarly use the riving knife (I know, dumb)...the big difference between the two saws is this: because it's battery powered and Milwaukee is trying to engineer the most power and run time they can get out of the saw, they utilize the basic physics of using a thin kerf blade - less surface area being cut, the less power being used. That being said, the blade is thinner and does have a little more bend to it. How to remedy this? USE ONE OF THE TWO RIVING KNIFES! Makes a world of a difference keeping the wood where it needs to be as the saw does it's work. After that ALL the cuts were much smoother and what I would expect from a quality table saw. Besides that, the main reason I got this was the portability aspect. Man is this thing easy to carry around with one hand/arm! It stacks nice in my van and all the onboard storage really works well. Amazing how well that it was engineered to keep everything on board and it stays in place in transport. The stand works great. The adjustable foot works but seems a little wimpy, hopefully it stands the test of time. It's a compact jobsite saw that is powerful and precise once calibrated and you won't be dissappointed by it's performance, especially considering it's cordless. One other cool plus for me is I'm fairly heavily invested in the M18 lineup. For fun I threw on a 5amp battery and although you could easily tell the difference in power, it still ripped a 2×4 suprising well. That's invaluable to me as I always have partially charged batteries in the van and know if the 12amp battery dies, I can throw any M18 battery on in a pinch and complete the cuts I need. Only 2 cons I can think of: 1, the miter gage is very basic and somewhat light duty (don't use much on the jobsite anyways) and 2, being young and planning on being in the business for years to come, batteries have a life span and I will inevitably have to replace the battery in 3-7 years, maybe longer depending on how much it gets used. Hopefully Milwaukee will continue to consider thier invested customers as battery technology rapidly changes and don't leave us hanging with our M18 tools. But I guess that's a risk with any cordless tool and so far Milwaukee's doing great.

Another great investment of the Milwaukee line of cordless tools. Ease of set up makes this convenient for all my job applications. I have owned this saw for a short time and would highly recommend anyone to add this to their own line of tools. Thank you once again Milwaukee Tools.

I have a big project coming up and thought that the addition of the Milwaukee Fuel M18 8¼” table saw would make things go much better. I will not go over all the specs you can get those elsewhere, what I hope to do is provide you with some of the features and benefits that helped me come to the conclusion to invest my hard earned money into this product over the competitors. I had several considerations and was very tempted to get a larger 10” corded version on a gravity stand but the more I researched the more I realized I didn’t need it. You see I already have a wonderful 12” sliding compound miter saw so when I need to make cuts on thick (16/4) material I’m covered, what I didn’t have was a quick reliable, repeatable method of ripping sheet material, and this saw seemed ideal to fill this need. Other considerations that weighed into this decision was that I won’t need additional power from an already loaded circuit, I won’t be limited to where I can setup by the length and location of cords and outlets, and this model will allow me to do all the cutting I need in a day with plenty of battery reserve to spare. I’m already invested in Milwaukee’s M18 (and M12) battery platforms so this unit just adds to my repertoire of tools and battery versatility. I will likely always be working in different locations so portability was important to me. Additional benefits that convinced me was its portability, and the ability to lock-out the operation via Milwaukee’s “One-Key” functionality. This project is in a church where there will likely be children around and while I wouldn’t expect them to be in or around our immediate work area, being able to lock it out is going to give me peace of mind for sure. I unboxed my new table saw put the new M18 HD12.0Ah battery on charge and while it charged I methodically got to work verifying squareness of the blade to fence, blade to table, blade to miter gauge and of course verifying the 45-degree blade angle setting and checking the flatness of the table itself. I made some very minor adjustments here and there and also calibrated the installed fence scale which was off maybe just a tad more than a thirty-seconds of an inch. Now I am a big believer in getting my tools square as much as practical since error compounds over length and the number of joints, and despite this being a “jobsite” table saw intended for less than absolute precision I will be making cabinet grade furnishings on this project as well, so taking the time now to get these correct and verifying them is going to give me confidence when the project begins that my saw is ready to deliver. I also have heard horror stories of new equipment being taken to a worksite, used and not verified beforehand only to create major headaches after the crew figures out the new saw isn’t square and I have also heard of units being bought that ultimately need to be returned because of some manufacturing error that just can’t be adjusted out. Lastly I can’t imagine a world where any company mass produces these products and they come out to your local big box stores after multiple shipping stops and the consumer would even assume that the unit is completely square, so I verify and while doing this it helps me gain familiarity with my new saw. I really appreciate the design of this table saw, the blade is set well back to allow for most material to be confidently set onto the table and unlike some jobsite table saws this unit offers miter gauge slots on each side of the blade. The ability to be able to rip full 4 x 8ft sheets of plywood lengthwise was a must for my project and this saw offers that and a bit more (24½ inches) while others come up just a few inches short (22 inches), again I’m not sure why the competitors stop 2 inches short but some do. This saw offers the fastest raise/lower ratio of any in its class, I know it doesn’t sound like a big deal but 14 turns to full up versus 36 turns on some of the competitors is a big time saver, especially over the length of a project. This saw also employs a blade brake if you’re old enough to remember or maybe you own a table saw that doesn’t have this feature you’ll notice it right away. While it isn’t that long it does seem like an eternity of waiting for the blade to coast to a stop on saws that don’t employ this nice feature. While the project I’ll be working has a deadline it’s not like I’m in a time critical environment but I just hate wasting time on things that are really unnecessary and these seemingly minor features save me from that and I appreciate that the Milwaukee Engineer’s kept that in mind when planning the gear ratio and including the blade brake on this unit. Having only made some test cuts and not yet started my project I look forward to getting to know this saw, its capabilities and limitations in a real world work environment, but as of today I have no reason to think it won’t do everything I need it to so I would recommend this to my friends and co-workers if they asked me for my opinion.

This saw is everything they claim it is. Super portable. Full featured. I didn’t feel any lag when cutting 1/2 inch plywood or ripping 2x6’s. Feels very solid and well made. Blade didn't wobble or warp. Has a nice carry handle which is welded to the frame so you can chain it up for safer storage. Can be stored on its side to save space. Any of the M18 batteries will work with it. The fence locks in to one of 3 pins built into the base to keep it square. slides easily. The table top was perfectly flat on my unit. If you did get one that wasn't I would return it as it would be a flawed item. fyi, The table works perfectly with the saw. It folds up out of the way. Feels solid. One leg easily adjusts for uneven surfaces. Clip keeps it solidly attached to the saw. Worth the money since the main reason to purchase the saw is for use in areas with limited access to power. There is a good chance you wont have a table or flat area to put the saw at a comfortable height.

If you would have told me ten years ago that someday that there would be a battery powered table saw on the market, I would have laughed at you. Not only that, if you told me that it would be just as powerful as a corded version, I would not only continue to laugh, but probably think you were a bit loopy. Wow, have times changed. I got the new Milwaukee Fuel Table saw last week, and threw the new 12.0 battery in it. I figured that it would probably have some power as it was being supplied by the monster 12.0, but I was blow away with how much power it actually had. When I threw the power switch on, it starred as if it was a soft start. Very smooth without any jolting or shaking like I get on many of my corded saws. One of the most notable changes was the db level. It’s actually very quiet for a table saw, and was much quieter compared to the others I own. I started feeding 2x4s and plywood through the saw, and it was probably the best cut I ever witnessed. The 2x4’s came out so smooth, it actually looked as if they were sanded. There was not a single ripple in the wood, and the plywood went through effortlessly. I was blown away with not only the power of this saw, but the perfect cuts I was able to make. As for build, the saw is made of a heavy molded plastic, but there is a metal backing behind the face plate of this saw. This allows the depth adjustment and bevel adjustment to be made easily. Each adjustment was smooth and easy to make. Not to mention, the depth adjustment is probably one of the fastest I have used. I also love, love love the easy to use rack and pinion table saw fence. It really is easy to dial in, and it stays put. As for table length, (Yes) you can cut full sheets of plywood with this. The fence is actually set up to be used as an extended part of the table. Just flip over the metal guide that in built into the fence, and the plywood glides right up it. Very smart design! Not only do you get the awesome fence, you get the miter gauge, push stick, blade and two riving arms. One is attached to the safety guard. This is another great design as all you have to do is flip a lever and pull up on the riving to take it out. Simply replace it with the other one and close the lever. It’s effortless. As for the one Key, the saw hooks up directly to your phone and can be tracked if needed. It can also tell you everything you need to know about the saw, including battery information, who is using it, what job site it is on and a lot more. I really am impressed with this saw, and lover the power it has. It looks compact, but will do any job (large or small) that you need it to. Not to mention, the portability of this saw is extremely important as I don’t always have electricity available. It’s also much lighter than many of the corded saws out there. Definitely check this out if you have the chance. You won’t be disappointed!

I love tools that are battery operated, just out of convenience. I didn't notice any difference between this cordless saw and a plug-in saw. It did what I needed it to do. The rip fence glides with ease but is sturdy when you have it set to where you need it. It's got a 24 1/2" rip capacity, but I didn't use it for any large sheets of plywood. It took me a little bit to get the anti-kickback pawls on, but I finally figured it out. I'm not that experienced with table saws but I found the directions very thorough. I don't have a need for the One-Key technology so I can't speak to that feature. Given this saw comes with everything you need AND can be used anywhere because of it being battery powered, you can't go wrong.

Another exceptional tool from Milwaukee. I am very impressed with the Milwaukee M18 Cordless 8-1/4” Table Saw and the attention to detail put into it to make a truly great saw. This is such a vast improvement from my previous saw. The saw frame is made from all metal which makes it feels very sturdy. You can tell Milwaukee spent an enormous amount of time thinking our every detail on this saw and then constructed it from high quality materials for function and durability. It has a new enormous M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT HD12.0 Battery which give the saw loads of power and battery life, though it also works fine with the standard M18 batteries. I love the rack and pinion style adjustment of the fence as it allows me to easily dial into fine accurate cuts. I also like that it adjusts out to a 24.5 inch rip capacity. Most of the guides, riving knife etc... are easily changed in and out toolessly which is great, But it also has plenty of onboard storage for all the included accessories and the fence clips and tucks under the saw for compact, stackable storage. The large handle on the side makes it easy to move around the job site. If you are looking for a portable table saw this is saw is excellent and well worth the price.

This saw was exactly what I needed to repair a privacy fence with gates. I also used it to build a matching garbage enclosure. The precisiness of the machine and the well thought out design made it easy for me to start learning how to use the saw correctly and efficiently. The battery and power may not have been tested extensively but for what I have used it for, it had been perfect.

Wow, what a great little saw. I would not have believed that a battery operated saw could have the power this one has. It rips thru 2x's and doesn't even breath hard. Not only does it have lots of power, it's loaded with features. The rip fence once it is set up is rock solid and accurate. If you set it up to the blade you are using, a very simple task, the scale for setting the cut width is very accurate. There are adjustable stops on the rip fence rails that allow yo to move the fence and then come back to your original settings. You can rip out to about 22" to the right of the blade and there is a fold down feature on the rip fence that makes an extra work support. Changing the blade is simple and easy to get to. The spindle lock is right on top and a spindle wrench is included. The miter attachment is plastic but it is usable although I am not sure just how accurate it is for angles and it is a loose fit in the table slot. There is built in storage for every attachment including tools needed built into the saw frame. The saw with the battery weighs about 40 pounds which for the punch this saw has is not bad. I really wish I had one of these saws years ago.

This is a very nice table saw. One of the things we liked about this is one must read the manual in order to put all the attachments such as the blade, kickback and saw guard. This is a good thing as anyone who is not used using a table saw has less chance of being injured. We charged the battery and it is important that one follow the instructions as the charger does get rather warm. Love that you can keep track of it with your phone. Can miter, and create a beveled edge works great.

      Milwaukee M18 FUEL ONE-KEY 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 8-1/4 in. Table Saw Kit W/ (1) ...
Milwaukee M18 FUEL ONE-KEY 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 8-1/4 in. Table Saw Kit W/ (1) 12.0Ah Battery & Rapid Charger is similar to other corded saws with the big convenience of being cordless. That's a big plus on the job-site and the large battery provided keeps it going all day. For those on this battery platform any other M18 battery can be popped in, as necessary. As to the saw itself, very impressive for a portable. It weights a shade over forty pounds and is definitely luggable along with a fifteen pound saw stand sold separately. For those that need it, comes with Milwaukee's ONE-KEY system to provide security, lockable remotely or located within a hundred feet of a phone with their ONE-KEY app. As to how its built, the bed is cast aluminum, checked it out, level and true. It has two 3/4-inch track slots. The saw is primarily metal with some plastic . Its put in a square steel tubing frame with a cushioned carrying handle. The 8 1/4-inch blade, 24 tooth framing, easily replaced with the provided wrench and a spindle lock button behind the flange. I'm glad they went to this system as its much easier than the older two wrench setup. The riving knife is wrench-less and has a locking lever. The wrench stores under the saw with its place secured on the frame along with most other accessories. The main guard, large riving knife and pawls, I put in bubble wrap and store in the open saw frame. Its nice to keep everything together. Everything stores compactly and I just throw a heavy piece of plastic over it, couldn't be easier. Using the saw is a delight, has plenty of power, not loud for these kinds of tools. The fence system takes getting used to moving it around. It is true and parallel to the blade. The catches are still a bit tricky for me, but sure that will pass with use. Another nice feature I immediately noticed is rising and lowering the blade, a snap. Its geared to move in less time than I remember with other saws, a small point, makes the day less tedious. I really appreciate the safety guards and pawls, had real experience seeing someone else with what can go wrong. I've been looking a long time for a portable table saw and having the Milwaukee's cordless is worth the wait as I'm primarily on their battery platform. For those using Milwaukee its an easy choice and for others it's worth taking a look at before settling on a cordless saw.

I looked at a slew of saws both in person, online, and on Youtube, and I found the one for my small shop. No room for a huge cabinet saw, and with the stand, sold separately, this is perfect for me. At 41 pounds the saw could be very portable, but for me it will sit in one place. Having limited space this is a homeowners/DIY persons dream. Also limited electrical outlets, the battery power is perfect. The new M18 series, long lasting battery will do me well. Every safety featured needed is included. The included Milwaukee blade is extremely shasrp and ready to go.

        Perfect
This is the best cordless jobsite saw out there. I was deciding between this, Bosch and Dewalt. I prefer Milwauke e over the other because it is smoother, easier one wrench blade change, easier lever release riving knife change, and less cranks to raise and lower blade. The location of where everything fits for storage is spot on.

The saw is 5 star. The stand is 2. It assembled fine but the clip that locks the saw to the stand broke at the second time using it. The wire pops out of the holes every time now when I try to lock it. First time I’ve ever had a negative experience with a Milwaukee tool. The delivery was on time but the box the stand was in was saturated with water. About 15% of the box was wet and floppy cardboard (the bottom opening) even though it was wrapped in plastic.
