I will never buy electric yard equipment again. This weed eater was okay when it worked, for almost a year, then the motor stopped working. Just do yourself a favor and stick to a gas weed eater that will last 20 plus years if you take care of it. Other Milwaukee tools that I have are good, their yard equipment is trash.

I already had m18 batteries. my echo gas powered hedge trimmer was on its last leg probably 18 years old. I'm a homeowner so need it to function maybe 3 to 4 times a year. drawback Milwaukee seem to move slow compared to a new gas hedge trimmer and the safety isn't convenient. on the plus side this trimmer actually works really good and as a tool that isn't used all the time for me no start up issues versus a gas tool that isn't used a lot. living in California I hate electric but this hedge trimmer does the job perfectly.

This thing is a BEAST. Highly recommended.

Has enhanced my ability to complete yard work around my house

It is a Milwaukee and it works great as expected.

Well built; heavy duty; quality. Two speed motor is handy for regular trimming or heavy brush. Shaft is easy to break apart for more compact storage if desired.

Good product but I returned it because it was $50 cheaper everywhere else

Flawless performance. A little heavy for seniors. Meets specifications to a T. Lasting battery and Excell length of blades.

Works great and powerful we were able to trim everything we needed quickly and on one battery

First off this thing weighs a lot for what it does , The trimmer line jams or runs out rather quickly and it is way over priced . I regretfully purchased this just for around the house because I already have the batteries , well I ended up eventually going back to a black and decker 20v trimmer because it just work’s easier and better for around the home . Milwaukee failed on this one in my opinion.

Other than melting the battery terminal on two batteries, it worked great for about 7 hours of total use. To motor sounds like it’s not making a connection with the gears, and is only spinning and 1/4 speed. Guess I will be converting to a different brand now.

bought this trimmer several months ago , finally tried it out today. wow , 100% impressed , cut threw branches on my big honeysuckle bushes like butter. it turned a long job into a fast easy job. last year it took me two hours by hand , finished in 30 minutes. love this hedge trimmer. highly recommend all milwaukee products. i now own this trimmer , a chainsaw, a vacuum cleaner, a jig saw, a circular saw, a impact gun, a sander and two fans. the products are fantastic.

Melted the battery housing around the contact area of both an 8 AH and 5AH batteries. This trimmer is not eligible for ship in repair, so I took it to the nearest service location. The service center said 8AH was too large for this trimmer, so they exchanged the 8AH for a 5AH. Shop held the trimmer for about 2 months, said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I won't risk destroying more batteries with this trimmer, just a bad, experience.

String does not feed well. Binds up on itself on the spool. Very heavy, needs to come with harness.
