The bit is held in place by a small little Allen plug that is supposed to keep it tight and not free spin. The design on the bit driver portion is horrible and strips almost immediately. I had to make my own bit driver for it, one that wasn't so soft. I'm totally disappointed, I also needed to buy 2 in order to complete the job

I’m pleased with the tools

First time using them on one cut out and they don't hold up waste of money

These work great for metal studs and metal electrical boxes.the only problem I've had is they don't eject the cut material very well.

Bit broke off on the first hole

1/2 in. Broke within a week

Picked these up to drill out some j-boxes, worked perfectly.

Was excited to find a hole saw that was impact driver rated but after 2 holes the set screw slipped and saw was spinning. Does it fit the impact yes is it really impact rated not really...

When these first came out they were awesome and lasted probably hundreds of holes in mainly metal studs. Since the first set, I have tried them numerous times hoping for the same quality and they have all been junk. Straight out of the package almost all strip out the set screw on the first hole attempt. They hole saw metal is very soft at the base where the set screw is located. After trying to drill a hole and setting the screw a few times there aren't any threads left and the bit spins. Ad slogan for these should be "We put profit over quality". Returned my final set to HD for a refund yesterday and will look elsewhere for my hole cutting products.

Excellent for electricians

Drill bit becomes loose on first hole.

First 5 or so holes on each size worked like a charm. Then the saw started spinning. It looked like the set screw would not hold the saw part to the shaft. Gonna try the klein see if I get better luck.

These are meant for DIYers. The bits got loose immediately and broke after 4 uses.

Great value, quick, sharp and durable

I have now bought my 2nd set within a week. After the first set stripped out the shaft during the 3rd hole being cut. I thought I may have just got a bad set, but the 2nd set was stripped out during the 1st hole cut. It seems that the area that the set screw sits in is made out of soft aluminum. This is literally my first Milwaukee product that has let me down. I'm still a huge supporter of their products, I just think this one should be revised.

Very well designed and built. Worked perfectly for me.
