A portion of what makes up Nature's Care Organic Garden Soil with Water Conserve is post-consumer yard waste. When homeowners accidentally add non-plant material to their yard waste left for municipal pick up, it increases the chance for contamination of yard waste compost with foreign material. All inputs are tested, and our compost goes through a rigorous screening process to remove unwanted debris, but unfortunately in some cases, pieces that are similar to the size of compost particles find their way through.

Although our current material qualification process is in line with industry and government standards, we are increasing our testing and qualification methods to make them the most stringent in the industry, well above US standards. We will be conducting a full investigation.
