[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who doesn't want to update their door or furniture. I know this paint is design for the door but I did my entertainment center. One can does the job. The paint goes on smoothly and leaves a nice satin finished after painted. There are no streaks after dry. I used to coats. Anyone can use this paint whether you a professional or beginner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was actually afraid to put a fresh coat of paint on my front door as it is black (as well as the shutters). I thought that they wouldn't match or it would be too difficult to find a matching color for the door. Turns out there is paint made specifically for the front door! It looks so much better now! The only downside was I need more than two coats (in scratched spots) to cover the blemishes. The finish, though, is great and is exactly what the front door should look like. Also, one jar is more than enough to paint the door (and probably all the shutters, too).

My husband and I were just discussing repainting our front door and this product by Modern Masters came up and I grabbed it. Me never painting before EVER was a little nervous but this paint went on smoothly. My door was already painted black parts were chipping off and the white prime base was starting to come through. I cleaned the dirt off my door and began to paint. Never heard of self leveling before but OMG it works wonders. My door has such a smooth even finish that it looks like a BRAND NEW DOOR! The paint went on so smooth and quick and it seems like it dries in an instant it's that fast. I put 2 coats on after drying all brush marks disappeared. I can see why this paint has a lot of rave reviews. Go get you some!

My doors were originally painted black but over time they have become scratched, chipped and faded. The paint was super smooth going on and kept the same color even after drying. I was SO excited and impressed! My doors look fantastic! I even chose to paint the side door as well!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this paint to refresh a metal storm door, the main front door and plastic shutters. I’ve gotten great results with all. One small container was enough to cover both doors. I found the formula quite different from most paints. The first coat applied almost translucent and I was concerned the coverage wouldn’t be good. When I applied the second coat, the color became saturated and beautiful. The color in the container becomes blue after sitting for a while but after a good shake, it really does come out as a rich black with a gloss finish. I used a cabinet roller to avoid paintbrush marks on the doors. I painted it directly on the metal door and shutters with no primer but I primed the main door and frame. The cold weather snuck on us and I still need to apply one last coat on the frame which I can’t wait to do when it’s bit warmer out. I already love how everything looks. The black color adds a lot of character to what used to be a plain white door. Next Spring, I’ll get another bottle to paint all the shutters that remain. I highly recommend this paint.

I purchased Modern Masters Front Door paint mainly because of their claim that the paint does not fade. Our front door gets direct morning sun, so a paint that doesn't fade was appealing. The paint goes on great - smooth and covers well. Clean up is a breeze. I did do three coats to get the coverage just right - and one jar was more than enough to do 3 coats. The door was just recently painted, so I can't speak yet to the paint's durability and resistance to fading. But otherwise, I was really pleased with the paint.

This paint on my front door of fiber glass worked excellent as I painted 4 times. Dries fast and looks beautiful on my front door. Definitely recommend it!

Painted a 2 year old white fiberglass door that was turning yellow. First coat was scary. Coverage was poor and the color was more purple than the cranberry color I expected. The second and third coated went on easily, coverage was great and I got more of the color I wanted. I watered down the paint for a fourth coat and touch-up. This is a good quality paint and was well worth the price. After 4 coats I still had half the jar left. My neighbors are pleased with the results.

A friend told me about this paint and as with all Home Depot paint I found it to be of excellent quality. The down side was that it took four coats to cover my white doors. The small container didn't seem like a lot but even after four coats on two doors I have enough for final touch-up. I have included three shots of the two doors to show the progression and final result. I am quite happy with the transformation. It brightens up the entries to our house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product on my front door. I prepped the area by cleaning and sanding the door first. I used a medium sized brush and a sponge brush for tricky areas. It went on smoothly and looks great. It gave my front door a face lift.

I saw this paint and took a chance and am so so glad I did. I absolutely love the outcome and the paint quality. I am confident it will last for years to come.

I did two coats but really would have been fine with one. I did wash my door first but there are no streaks or bubbles in the finished product.

It offered opaque and beautiful coverage, and dried very quickly between coats- making this a much quicker and easier process than anticipated. A little goes a long way, and I still had a good amount of paint left over after my project.

I now have all matching doors and I'm thrilled. I can't say yet about the paint not fading but I definitely have high hopes it won't. I highly recommend this paint and plan to continue purchasing.

There are a lot of great reviews out there on prepping and painting with this with great tips and tricks. With that said, preparation is key to a great result. Sand and prime and clean, or you may need more than two coats. The first coat can be streaky but then the second coat fills it all in nicely. A roller brush is your friend here for more even coverage and ease of painting. A foam brush worked great on the detailed parts of the door. It dries fairly quickly. It came out a nice rich black with a satin finish. It was alittle more work but the finished product was well worth it!

It was easy and dried well and then I worked on the 2nd coat. 2 coats is enough. Overall I am very happy with this product and have lot left over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been slowly transforming our house from a modern farmhouse to a more mid century modern design with a lot more black accents. We decided that a black front door would be great. Our front door was about 4 years old and we had never painted a door before. My husband was concerned about the dry time but this stuff really does quick. We thought we would have to leave the door open and off the hinges for days. Even though it’s winter it’s warm here and dried super quick. After two coats it looks great and the little bottle provides great coverage. Let’s see how long it lasts but hopefully forever since it said it won’t fade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started with a worn-out yellow metal door.  Two full coats of this Modern Masters Express Yourself Elegant Front Door Paint and I now have a beautiful dark satin door.  This is such a beautiful transformation!  I used a 4" paint brush and applied the paint generously, but not dripping. This paint goes on very smoothly. I also didn't have to take the door off the hinges to paint. I was able to use a smaller paint brush up close to the hinges. The paint dried fairly quickly, about an hour or two, which is a good thing.  Gives you enough time to actually paint, then dry.  This was very easy to do, so don't be too nervous. I'm going to have to try something else now.  They have lots of colors to choose from...I'm hooked!

It's still a great door after all this time, so we decided to paint it black (because The Rolling Stones told us to), and this paint definitely fit the bill! I was a little nervous after the first coat because it seemed not quite right, but once that dried and we applied the 2nd coat, it turned out wonderfully!
