THE MODERN MASTERS FINISHING KIT,, WAS MISSING THE GREEN PATINA...
THE MODERN MASTERS FINISHING KIT,, WAS MISSING THE GREEN PATINA OXIDIZER, SO IT WAS USELESS, I CALLED HOME DEPOT, BUT THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO RETURN THE KIT AND GO ONLINE AND ORDER A NEW ONE. I CALLED MODERN MASTERS AND THEY SENT ME THE GREEN PATINA OXIDIZER, AFTER I PAID FOR IT AGAIN.

Great product. I used it on galvanized steel after careful prep and was amazed how well it works. Follow the instructions, watch the videos and read the reviews before beginning, it will be time well spent. I found each kit covers about 32 square feet with 2 coats which was needed. I'm looking forward to using it again. If the prep work is done properly I think this could be used on any surface.

This paint was incredible and did exactly as it stated, it made my woodworking project look like rusted metal. I love this product and will purchase again when needed and I’m even wanting to try the other paints similar to this in their product line. It had easy to use instructions as well.

The paint drys to a dull, flat looking green. I thought it would dry as a semi gloss, plus the paint is expensive. Later, I will repaint it an emerald green, semi gloss or gloss. The kit does have everything needed to paint my rod iron table and it was easy.

For the best results with Rust-Oleum Modern Masters Metal Effect Patina Oxidizing Finishing Kit, make sure to stir the Oxidizing Copper Paint well before use with the stir stick provided. Apply the first coat with the chip brush supplied and let dry for 30 minutes. Then apply a second coat and while the paint is still wet then spray on a light coat of the Green Patina Aging Solution over the entire surface. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5

I used the Modern Masters Rust on a metal project....
I used the Modern Masters Rust on a metal project. I loved the finished product! I had to deliver the project to my customer and had the item in my car (July). The piece "rusted" further after being in the heat for about an hour (no direct sun exposure) even though sealer was applied. So, note to self, oxidation can continue after sealer application if item is subjected to heat!

Not enough activator supplied in proportion to the primer and metal containers. Had just enough activator to complete a small item. Now I'm left with approximately half full containers of primer and metal product and no activator. Way over priced to have such a short coming.dissapointed
