I purchased this while on sale, so the price was easier to swallow. In the long run, having padding will benefit due to the extension of the life of the rug. Might be nice if the padding was a bit thicker. It does add some cushion, but definitely doesn't feel cushy, especially with a short nap rug. We have some of this padding under a much longer shag rug and this pad feels sufficient for that. Purchased this type of padding after doing research on padding that won't damage hardwood floors. Our are engineered hardwood. Natural rubber is one of the dual surfaces-the one the touches the floors. The other side is very scratchy/fiberous and between that and furniture on parts of the rugs, we have had no problems with the rugs moving off the padding.

The rug pad is perfect for our new area rug. It adds a nice amount of cush under foot. It was a little larger than our area rug, but very easy to trim.

The pad makes all the difference in our area rug. The rug lays flat, we cut the pad 2" smaller than the rug which was quite easy with a good scissors. The rug stays in place and feels thick and comfortable under foot. Really made an inexpensive rug seem much more luxurious.

This rug pad arrived quickly, was easy to cut to fit and performs well under my flat weave rug. The price was great. I am pleased with this product.

It has a nice thickness which was my main goal. And the price was better than overstock or any other online store.

I researched several options of padding prior to purchasing. Rugs and padding arrived within 2 wk timeframe. The area rugs look great and are of good quality. The rubber back padding I purchased works well in preventing the non-slip. I would highly recommend.

The rug pad looks like it will work well, once we can use it. When it arrived it had a strong sour/chemical odor. We have been airing out the pad on our screen porch that has good air circulation as we did not want to smell up our house. After a few weeks of venting, hopefully the odor will be gone and we can try using the pad.

I like the softness of the padding, but one of my thinner rugs keeps sliding out of place which is frustrating.

The product had a very strong odor . I had to return this item.Iopened up the package but kept folded. I was hoping the smell would gradually fade but it didn’t ,

Purchased this rug pad to use under a thin 8x10 washable rug. The grippy underside stays in place on our hard floors, and the felt top holds the thin rug in place. It gave an inexpensice rug more comfort and substance and works exactly as I had hoped! The size was excellent - I had to trim 2 sides to fit my rug exact (which was easy to do). Shipping to home was faster than expected.

Buyung the exact size we wanted was double thr price so we got a bigger one and cut it down to size. It was very easy. Quality is great

I originally purchased a thin rubberized matt as a pad but when I tried to pull it up, I actually had to use a scraper. I guess you get what you pay for. I am so happy with the Mohawk Dual Surface Rug as a replacement. It keeps the top rug in place and gives a nice cushion feel. I highly recommend this pad. It is totally worth it.

Bought this rug pad to go under an area rug we just purchased & immediately noticed an incredible smell next time we came back into our office space & couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. It was the rug pad! Don’t listen to the lies where they said they fixed the issue it’s not fixed clearly. Read all the reviews & if it’s happening to me as of April 2024. Where’s the quality control? I’ll be going to Home Depot to return this & buying another rug pad.

This rug has an unbearable odor! I thought it would air out after a few days, but instead it seems to be getting worse! Right now we have it airing out in the driveway. Our backyard smells now. This is so bad. I do not recommend this product at all.

Perfect for its advertised purpose. Reasonably priced. Easy to "trim" with scissors, if necessary.

It's not laying flat but I am hoping it just needs to settle first.

Had to return this pad to the store because it had a disgusting smell that didn't go away even when aired out for a week on my porch. When I brought it back to HD, the customer service clerks didn't even want it near their desks the smell was so bad. Skip this one. Don't believe the high ratings. Look at the one star reviews.
