Just what I needed to allow my gutter drain to "Pop Up" during the rain and become invisible during the dry times

Easy to install, works great, solved my patio flooding issues

If you want 100% water drainage from the pipe in your project, do NOT end with this ELBOW. Use a WYE or TEE, installed 'sideways'. (drainage pipe inserted into the 'bottom' of the tee, so the tee top is vertical from top to bottom.) Dig a hole and install a five-gallon pickle/paint bucket with the bottom REMOVED. (cut it off with a saw, leaving a big plastic cylinder.) Place the bucket UNDER the bottom of the tee, and fill it with gravel. Ensure the top edge of the tee has the proper elevation; add the green pop-up section by either setting in ON the tee, (the pop-up is NOT designed to fit snug on the tee!) or drill a hole through both the collar of the pop-up and into one side of the exposed tee collar and attach the pop-up lid with a stainless steel screw. Fill the area around the pop-up with gravel and add some edging to keep soil from washing in. Top with an inch or two of decorative pea gravel for better aesthetics if you wish. Now 100% of the water can exit your drainage pipe (if you've sloped it correctly) to avoid mosquitoes, roaches, etc.

This product is great option. Top does not extend for height.. Requires additional part. Otherwise very functional.

Good pop-up. I needed a connector to make it work with the perforated drain tile . . . and that was not state or evident from the product description.

Does not fit 4 inch pipe. It says 3 and 4 inch pipe but does not fit 4 without an inside coupling that restricts water flow.

Lawnmowers love to eat these. Cap is sucked off and shredded. Poorly engineered, and overpriced. Unless you add screws to retain the cap to the elbow, you will be replacing the caps at $10.00+ a piece not to mention having to re-sharpen your lawnmower blades. You can get it to work if YOU ARE WILLING to modify it using screws to fasten it to the drain line in addition to fastening the cap to the elbow.

Connected directly to the drain pipe without the need of additional adapters. I’ve had pop-up drain emitters like these installed under paver blocks and am very satisfied on their operation. The clean out of debris is a little messy, however, with anti-debri fittings on downspouts, this safes on the clean out required to keep the emitters from getting clogged.

These will help your drainage system work better

Used it as an exit adjacent to my sidewalk to discharge rainwater via an 80 ft long underground 4" drain pipe connected to a sump pump/basin. Work like a charm.
