If you do much plumbing work at all, sooner or later you need to cap a half inch copper water supply line. If you do you might need this copper cap. It is neat and clean and fits easily on any half inch copper pipe. Just sweat it on the pipe as you would any other copper fitting and you are set to go. You can leave it on permanently or cut it off when you are ready to finish your project.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, High Quality, Looks Great, Sturdy
This a standard 1/2 inch copper pressure cap for use on 1/2 inch type L and M rigid copper plumbing. Note this is a single cap, not a pack of caps. If you're project requires more caps they offer a value pack that is more economical. Copper seems a bit thin but certainly adequate. Requires brazing with rod and flux to secure to rigid line. Works with refrigeration, air conditioning and copper water lines.
This tube cap fitting is handy to have, especially if you are doing work with 1/2 inch copper pipe and you need to cap the pipe for an anticipated, later date when you might add a fitting or extend the line. In other words, it caps the line off so the rest of the system can be in use until there is a need or chance to do more plumbing with that capped line. It is easy enough to sweat into place. I like Everbilt; I use their fittings because they are quality products. I recommend them for both the homeowner and the professional.

Odd copper tube cap. Odd in that it's lighter than the old ones, and is a not domed. But that written, this cap also has three protrusion on cap inside edge, see pics. For commercial/slamming pipe plumbing the lightness of cap would be a blessing, lees weight when packing bunches. The ID diameter of cap is slightly over 9/16" whcih will work just fine with the OD of K"0.527, L"0.545, M"0.569. For the DIY gent/lass what this means is it will work on your copper pipe.

We use these Everbilt 1/2 in. copper pressure tube cap fittings in both temporary and permanent usage. As I am remodeling my bathroom, I use them temporarily to close off pipe cuts and allow the bath to still be
used. Then as the permanent need arises, we use them for pipe terminations, like an old toilet pipe that had to be terminated. These caps clean (use round wire brush) and solder easily. If they don't easily go on, the pipe is either deformed or not deburred correctly. Do use flux on the cap and pipe.
3/4" copper Tube Cap, when you come to the end of the line and need to put a cap on it. once you weld (sweat) the cap into place the job is done. good to have a small supply of this for when the job calls for it. Ideal for central air conditioner lines or water lines or when you have to cut into and reroute lines and you have a small end to cap. Always some a small supply in store.
I'm in the process of expanding and remodeling a bathroom in a house I just bought. None of the water lines going to the bathroom sink, toilet and shower had shutoffs (stupid if you ask me). So I had to shut off my water at the service inlet, cut my lines and solder these caps on so that I could start demolition. They worked just as I needed them to.
