raised garden
There were no directions and it was interesting to put together without them. I was not excited about the quality either and would not purchase this product.

Can't wait to get my plants planted in this raised garden bed.
This was super easy to put together and looks great, now I just have to wait until my seedlings are big enough to change over to this planter. It is going to look perfect in front of my house. This summer we are growing gourds, the vines provide privacy and shade this should set three plants with ease, they really suck up the water. Would look great with flowers too but my wife isn't crazy about planting something we can't eat or find a use for. Highly recommend this, plan to buy more next year or use this one as a model to build bigger ones for veggies in the back yard. Either way a great value.

Not sturdy...
Unfortunately, I am not fond of this raised garden bed. Even though it came with no instructions, it was easy to see how it was put together. Problem was...there weren't pins on the bottom, only the top, which left the bottom unstable and wobbly which means it won't stay together. It also takes more than two hands to put it together as it just doesn't hold together well. Once you get the four sides together, they don't fit on the base. Everything is just a little off and nothing really sets strong enough to hold this together.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We apologize for the difficulty you had with this product. I think if we had included an instructions guide it might have made it a little easier? I understand that you say some of the pieces don't fit well, however the posts should snap into the grid and thereby holding in the boards. We will test in our lab and see if we can add that change to make the planter box/garden bed more sturdy. If you could give me a call so we can discuss the problems you were having with the boards not being the right size and see what we can do to fix it. My phone number is 1-866-728-5273 x 320, Richard. Thank you again and hope to hear from you soon.

Great planter box
Nice color, no instructions, but is self explanatory. Put it together in about 10 minutes. The teak color hides dirt well and these boxes fit about 2 bags of dirt and several plants. Nice addition to patio.

Instructions not included
You have to go online and either watch the youtube video or view the instructions on the HD web site. It took every bit of 10 minutes to put together. Nice sturdy construction for the most part. I would recommend setting it on level surface before filling with soil and your plants. The bottom is a plastic grid and when you pick it up, it sags, so no doubt it would definitely collapse when trying to move it with any weight inside. It would have been better if they had added a middle post to tighten the bottom. All in all a nice product. The plastic sheet in the bottom is full of holes to help with drainage and aerate the soil. It fits together perfect. Would recommend.

review of 14.4 IN. X 43.2 IN. COMPOSITE LUMBER PATIO RAISED GARDEN BED KIT IN PERUVIAN TEAK
Didn't look like composite lumber to me (at least in comparison to composite lumber as used for decks). Looked like hollowed out molded plastic to me. However, it does what it is supposed to do -- hold a pile of dirt.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, Thank you for your review. I apologize that you were not satisfied with our product. Yes we didn't put wood grain on the planks because our customer panels said it looked better without it. The things that it does you might not notice right away but will be seen over years of owning the product! The planter kit will stay that color for as many years as you own it so it will always look the same. The product will never rot or decay away so you can reuse this planter box for the next 10 years! Another great thing is the many tiny holes that are in the perforated plastic sheet. It might just look like a sheet that holds dirt in but those tiny holes actually aerate the soil and the roots, promotion growth of plants. If you have other thoughts or ideas feel free to give me a call at 1-866-728-5273 x 320.
