This decking is great, but OMG it is dense and heavy (~20lbs/ 8ft board). I used it to build a small (72”X17”X5.5”) storage locker for our hot tub chemicals and supplies. It will last a long time… and NO periodic painting required.

I had a non-traditional use for this as I was creating a privacy fence for an outdoor shower and not an actual deck. That said, the material is really good-looking and easy to work with. A few boards were dented or gouged in shipping. I bought the fastners recommended which also worked well, despite the non-traditional use.

Even with pre drilling, screwing approximately one inch from the end resulted in splitting. Also, 8ft long boards shouldn't be 8' 1/4" or 7'11 & 3/4". When spending almost 40$ a board, quality and consistency is expected. It looks nice and has a good feel otherwise.

It was very easy to work with, a fantastic color and shipping was right on time.

Far superior to Trex. We installed a Trex deck a few years ago and needed a few more boards, we were disappointed when we learned, due to Covid, that Trex had nothing available. So we decided to try New TechWood out....now we are wishing it would have been available years ago, it's a far superior product, and beautiful.

The product machines well with carbide tools. I expected the product to be more durable as it scratches and chips easily. The product is not as structurally rigid as wood. I bowes even when used vertically. It looks good.

Love the texture that's on it.

The wood warped

I bought 2 boards to replace rotten ones on a garden bench. I ripped each board down the middle and cut them in 4’ lengths. The antique bench looks great and should last for a long time with no painting or maintenance.

Solid board, easy to work with

It transforms any space into a warm and inviting atmosphere. I had laid them out on my balcony and everyone loved it! Looks professionally done but it was so easy for me to do myself.

Used this to replace pieces of teak on our boat. Perfect!

This product is a vaneer composite deck wood. The color is only on the outside 1/16. The core is solid...ish. Had some break out when drilled thru also split when screwed too close to the edge. Looks good, we will see about durability.

Vinyl board is heavier than wood, this is way more expensive (3x) up front but no painting and should last longer.

Very easy to use and looks great

The look of this is good. Very pretty decking. But it's the absolute thinnest vinyl / pvc veneer over another color of composite. This is the first composite decking I've used that has this film over it. A couple pieces of this stuff were scarred in transit. Wouldn't normally be a big deal, but in this case you see the other color through the torn skin. Very strange.Other composite decking I've used is the same color throughout, so you can mill it, sand it, pressure wash it. I don't think I'd do that will this particular one. Hopefully it will wear okay. At $50 for an 8-footer, I was hoping for something that would last into the future. I didn't use it as decking, but for a picnic table: no foot traffic, so maybe it will work okay.

purchased these for my porch. would rate them higher but 3 boards split while screwing them to the floor joist. really nice boards overall. one side smooth, the other side has a rougher grain, beautiful color.

It saws easily, routes well, is easy to drill, but splits even when thread cutting screws are used, and I worry about screw holding power. It appears to be made of recycled newsprint bonded with plastic.

It was advertised as 1” x 6” but measured 1” x 51/2”. I had to redo my plans to accommodate the difference! Not happy about it either!!

Used same brand recommended composite Decking screws. These boards will split! I tried with and without pre-drilling to see if either helped. 5 out of 6 split.
