It is doing what was expected.

Like many others mentioned, the hole pattern did not line up properly with the hole pattern in my very old toilet flange. Fortunately, I own a Dremel tool and modified this spacer to work. Once modified it did the job. I successfully installed the new toilet with no leaks.

Used three to raise my flange up to the new subfloor and laminate height. Easy to install. PVC glued them together before setting the new toilet and wax ring.

Works as expected. Was able to stack two of them on existing closet flange. No issues a couple of weeks after installation.

If you look at other Oatey flanges you will see these slots go in the opposite direction.

Perfect solution for repairing an existing, damaged flange ring.

Worked well with new tile floor.

The bolt slots on this go in the opposite direction from those in the original flange. Will have to mangle the spacer to be able to use it. Weird.

Check the direction of your old-work keyslots before purchasing this product. At some point, Oatey decided to reverse the direction of the keyslots on this product and perhaps all of the Oatey toilet flanges. Not sure if that was a proprietary decision or if code somehow changed but it is relatively new. I have used this product or other products like it dozens of times. The toilet flange cleat (key slot) for the toilet bolts on old work has latched left-to-right (i.e. the open part where you insert the toilet bolt is to the right and the latching part is to the left. This flange has the key holes reversed. If this is not clear, look at the non-Oatey toilet flanges and you will see that the key slots are the reverse of this one. This flange is useless for raising the toilet on old-work toilet flanges without boring out the keyslot because the keyslot is backwards. If you JUST installed an Oatey toile flange and need this, it might work because all of the Oatey product keyslots are now reversed from the historical norm. This product should be reversible so it will work with all toilet flanges.

Wow....cracked flange......at bolt, of course.....this saved so much concern about how to repair, take out, modify.....all fixed for $4....and better able to fit on sloping floor.....

Easy to install right over the existing flange.

Used one of these after a tile job in order to make the flange flush with the floor. It will screw onto the existing flange through subfloor but you must caulk or 'glue' it to the original flange for a tight seal. These work really great if installed right.

I added a new floor on top of the old one in my bathroom, and this flange spacer was just what I needed to safely install the toiled and ensure a good seal would be in place. The PVC feels very strong, and I have confidence it will last. Best of all, it will not rust like the old metal spacers. Plenty of holes are given to cover a wide range of installations. It can be stacked, but I did not need to in my case.

Oatey is a quality provider of plumbing accessories. This 1/4" flange spacer is ideally suited to accommodate a toilet fixture mount below grade caused by installation of a different flooring type from initial installation or due to layered upgrade of flooring systems. Build up height can be accomplished by stacking (3 max recommended) and solvent welded or bolted together utilizing the 6 holes for fasteners. They are easy to install and very economical to use.
