Really nice for what I wanted them for. Assembly was easy

I bought a couple for the garage. They are well built and sturdy. Only complaint the had a little more padding.

Assembly was not a problem.The bolts and screws seemed poor quality. Soft metal.

Chair quality is good. The only problem is the circumference of the seat size.Even the smallest body frame would probably be uncomfortable. Suggest you make the seat bigger for larger folks.

We ordered two stools and assembly went well. The stools look nice and are comfortable. I have no idea how long the hydraulic will last so this review could change a year from now. The stools seem like they could be a bit sturdier where the four legs come together in the support ring.

Easy to assemble and sturdy

Decent quality however, not something you want to sit in for very long.

Don't even attempt to assemble this thing unless you have power tools, it's impossible to screw the provided nuts onto the screws without superhuman strength.

Nice chair, perfect for the price & size for my work bench.

Easy to put together but not very comfortable at all. Seat is pretty small (should have double checked the measurements) and o don't trust the seat back to take much weight. Plus, I only weigh 180 lbs and it makes loud clunking sounds when I sit. Works for now but definitely worth the money I paid.

Very poor assembly instructions. Main steps are callouts surrounding an exploded diagram of the chair. While they are numbered, it would be better to have a separate list of steps referring to each callout. The callouts encircle the diagram but are in random order, not a single column and not clockwise or counterclockwise. The 1st step tells you attach parts with the "K" bolts. Then in the second step, you attach a plate to the parts you fastened in step 1, using the same bolts. In other words, you don't fasten the locknuts in step 1, you fasten them at the end of step 2. Unnecessary rework. Diagram is very small, so it is not clear that the ring for the foot rest goes INSIDE the legs, when in the previous step the smaller ring goes outside of the legs. Paper is not that expensive, use a standard 8.5 x 11 page, not 4 x 6, and you will have plenty of space to write thorough instructions. This would cut down on customers reworking the assembly, and returns because they couldn't get it done. I am a technical writer, and this would be a great learning exercise for how not to do this. Once assembled, it is sturdy.

Only complaint is the seat size is smaller than I would like

I am so glad I purchased this shop stool! It is easy to assemble and more sturdy and comfortable than most. At the lowest height setting, I think it may be a slightly taller than most other stools but having long legs and just under 6'0" tall, this is one of the reasons I find it more comfortable. The adjustable height and swivel features are easy to use and function very well. And just in case it matters to some, it looks good too. This is a quality shop stool that I believe will hold up to use and wear in my wood working shop and it does make my time spent in the shop more enjoyable. My only constructive criticism is it would be nicer if the back was also adjustable -for me, it would be better if it was slightly higher but I believe with a few strategically drilled holes, I can easily make the adjustment without compromising safety. I highly recommend the Olympia shop stool!

The description should tell how low the seat can go. It goes up to 39" but would be better if it could go down a little further.

I wanted a stool with a back to replace my old wood, backless stool. This was a fair price for a good, sturdy stool. It was easy to assemble. I did have to fiddle with it a bit to align the holes in the base as I assembled it. It was because the rings and legs pulled a bit as I started the screws. It was nothing difficult, just don’t tighten any of them until you have them all at least started. The cylinder is press fit into the base. I haven’t had the seat and base separate as I have lifted it and moved it around my garage. I am conscious that it can separate and am careful how I grab it. The seat is comfortable. I’m 6’ tall and around 190 lbs and have no issues with creaking, flexing or self adjusting. The back can be adjusted in and out when you assemble it. And the material on the seat isn’t that slick, looks like it’ll crack after a couple of uses, vinyl. I’ve had it about a month and a half and do not see any signs of wear.
