It had a nice tight fit. It did a good job holding the plate safely so it could be hung on a wall.

Good strong producy

I have quite a few plates from the Bradford Exchange that never had display holders. At $24-28 a piece, too pricey. Found these at HD. Never thought to check until I did an on line search and they were in stock, no waiting for online order and whether it would work. Turns out these are just fine for the 71/2 " to 81/2 " plates. The wires that come around the front of the plate were a little long so a pair of diagonal and long-nose pliers to hold the wire while trimming to length took care of it. These are a 2-pack so $3 a plate is really reasonable. Good design, easy to use and varied sizes so my oval plates can be displayed as well.
