This stuff is good but you need to get used to it and use a few techniques to use it without stressing out or making a mess. 1. You need a GOOD caulking gun. Spend the money and get one with some leverage, smooth shaft and sturdy construction. Makes it SO much easier to apply this caulk. I purchased the HDX Heavy Duty gun for just under $20. Good one for a DIY guy like me. You can spend a lot more but this one works well for me. 2. Contrary to the instructions you CAN tool this caulk. Wear disposable rubber gloves and spit on a finger before you "tool" the caulking bead. 3. Have a lot of paper towels and some mineral spirits on hand. You will need the mineral spirits to clean off your rubber gloves once in a while or things will get very sticky very quickly. A handy rag with some mineral spirits is also a great tool to have on hand for applying this caulk. 4. Once you get used to this caulk and use a good HD caulking gun you can run beads of caulk without tooling or with very little tooling. Takes some practice. 5. The bad: Cure time is WAY too long on this caulk. I recommend spending a bit more and get the "Quad Max" with a much shorter cure time. Who wants to wait 7-14 days before being able to paint on or around the caulk you just applied? 6. Advantages of this caulk is it sticks to stuff very well and is very flexible. Should last a lot longer than other caulks for outside use like around doors and windows.

Excellent product. Make sure you allow plenty of cure time before you want to paint, minimum required is 7 days. Use mineral spirits to clean up, the only thing that works.

Pros Good Coverage, Good Protection, High Quality of Material, Looks Great, Looks High End, Very Adhesive Cons Difficult to Clean

This is an Amazing product. If you are going to paint or if you DO NOT want to paint afterwards, either way it is Great! The one thing to note is that it gives you very little time to smooth it out before it skins over.

It works. It does exactly what you want sealant to do. I have used every brand of window and siding sealant and they all dry out, shrink and crack in a very short time. Quad doesn't. It stays flexible for...ever, so far. Literally, a decade and still just as good as the day I applied it 10 years ago and the years since where I've used it. It costs nearly the same as the other 2 major brands and it's worth twice as much. I am not big on brand names, but Quad lives up to and beyond its reputation. Don't use anything else if you don't want leaks. It's that simple.

Purchased the OSI QUAD Advanced Formula in Brown, actually turned out to be Musket Brown that I was searching for. Quality product and easy to use. The only disadvantage was I had to purchase a twelve pack in order to get this color. I only needed one tube, not twelve. I searched everywhere, but in order to get the match to musket brown every company said it was only sold in a twelve pack.

I bought this product thinking that it was the best. As I went to use it on a 70 degree day, I found the product to be very a very thick gel. It was thick and very difficult to apply and spread. I had to run a tool over it several times to get it to stick. I even tried to warm up the tubes, it helped only a little. I hope it lasts so I do not have to do it again. I will never use this again. I am returning the tubes that I did not use. I

OSI QUAD is one of the best products I have found for adhering and sealing. I primarily use QUAD for sealing bottom plates to concrete. It has superior bonding qualities and remains flexible for years. I recently was called back to un-install and re-install a exterior door. I had installed the door for this client but he was making some changes to the floor so the door had to raised 1". The QUAD had bonded the threshold and treated sill so well, that the threshold needed to be cut away and replaced.
