impossible to work with too sticky, just a mess doesn't lay right! also all the tube we bought were plastic caps had to saw the tops off to open. Plastic enclosed tops get a saw to cut off to get to the chalk. Don't use not workable unspreadable.

It stopped the water around windows. I would recommend wearing gloves because that stuff really bonds.

Excellent exterior caulk. Checks every box!
I’m a new homeowner and I’ve tried just about every caulk on the shelves. This stuff is hands down the best for exterior windows, siding, and sealing.
It can be applied between 0 and 140 F so it’s great in the winter. It cures fast and can be painted in an hour although I usually wait a day. I’ve even applied it during a light rain and it cured.
It applies smoothly and my favorite part is that there’s barely any odor unlike the original OSI quad.

Always use quad for all my bathroom repairs around toilet showers sinks Windows door frames door casings all that quarters to me better than silicone.

I couldn’t use it. It was so hard to squeeze out using a caulking gun. I followed the instructions, but no product came out from the tip of the tube.

We are so sorry you had this experience with our product. OSI QUAD MAX Sealant does have a higher viscosity than most sealants and requires a higher-quality caulking gun with a high hand thrust ratio. Additionally, it is important that the tube opening be cut large enough and the foil seal is broken before reattaching the nozzle. The nozzle opening should be at least ¼ inch or larger. It's also possible the product you have is past or near its expiration date. As with all items sold through retailers, a product exhibiting an issue should be returned to the place of purchase for exchange or refund.

Laborious to work with.
I used the Quad Max three years ago while installing some windows and was thrilled with the application and the seal. Just purchased another tube to install 4 more windows and was so disappointed with the experience. Used the same caulk gun, but this time it took considerable pressure to get the caulk to flow. Even more vexing, after smoothing the caulk with a wet finger I could not get the caulk off my fingers! It was so tacky, it took a good scrubbing to clean my hands.

I found the consistency so thick it would not work...
I found the consistency so thick it would not work with a regular caulking gun in spite of enlarging the spout hole. I broke one gun with it and discarded 2/3 of a tube. I switched guns, and the next tube was just as tough for the first 1/4 of a tube. Then it all of the sudden started flowing pretty normally like regular caulk. I know the door manufacturer recommended it...pretty pricey for the inconsistent quality.
