The plates worked perfectly. I didn't use the included screws or decorative nuts because I had something more rigorous in mind, but the plates are a nice thick gauge steel.

these dont actually support the post. I expected a base...
these dont actually support the post. I expected a base to come with. what garbage is this... they dont even look nice without a matching base. everything about these is stupid.
