Hangar strapping or strip bracket is really handy to have around and can be quickly and easily formed and used to solve a wide variety of fastening and holding tasks. This particular variety from Oatey is pretty standard in size at ¾ inch and the ten foot length is wound up tightly so as to be easily carried around. Unfurling the bracket to obtain the required length is simple and the light gauge of the metal makes it very easy to fashion into the desired shape. The strapping can be cut to size with a pair of tin snips or even with the cutting edge of a pair of pliers. The regular and frequent perforations in the bracket mean that it can nailed or screwed into place in exactly the right place every time.

The Oakley 3/4" X 10 foot roll of galvanized hanger strap is great for holding PVC or other pipe in place in a vertical, horizontal or other position. It is stronger than polypropylene strap and yet is flexible enough to be shaped around different size pipes. Once shaped it can be nailed or screwed in place and can be primed and painted to prevent future rusting.

This is a standard galvanized steel hanger strap with a smooth shiny finish that looks more like plating than galvanized. It is easy to work with and does what strapping is designed to do. It has many more uses than just hanging pipe. Every garage should have roll of this readily available for when you need to secure or hang something quickly.
It has standard alternating sized holes every half inch. The hole sizes are approximately 3mm and 6.25mm in diameter. I used millimeters because I think this strap is made to metric specification being made in China. A 1/8 drill bit would not fit through the small holes, and a 1/4 inch drill bit would not fit through the larger holes. Also the width of the strap which is advertised as 3/4 inch wide is actually a little bit narrower by about 0.015 of an inch. Not a bit deal since this is strapping material.
This strap is good for securing PVC, ABS, Cast Iron, and Steel pipe or tubing. I would NOT use this steel strap to secure copper tubing. Always use copper strap on copper tubing to eliminate the possibility of electrolysis.
This strapping is 28 gauge thick, and according to Oatey has a safe load limit of 46 pounds.
This product is made in China.
