[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the stain sealant on my back porch deck. I was easy to use and made my deck look so much better. We had rain one day since using and the water just beaded up on the deck. So should seal the wood pretty good to protect it .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I do a ton of work ourselves around our home. We recently built a new deck and this cedar coating is beautiful! It’s so easy to apply. We used a roller. It dries rather quickly. It’s held up well with the weather and little feet running around constantly on it. I highly recommend!

This product is the best coating. Lasts for years. Looks great!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had bleached my deck to get rid of unsightly staining. I was looking for a way to seal it and add just a hint of color to the wood. This product did the trick. It was extremely easy to apply and as you can see from the pictures it added just a tint of color to the wood while allowing the natural beauty to remain visible. As the deck is covered, I am not that concerned about direct water repellency, but I am confident that this should help prevent the staining that occurred having previously left the wood untreated. An excellent choice if you are looking for a product that just adds a hint of color to the wood and is easy to apply.

It turned fantastic and was very easy to use. Now on to our large deck! We will definitely be using Olympic Maximum one coat stain.

This year my husband applied your stain. What a difference! The color is rich and was easy to roll on. What was a major surprise is how nice it made the wood look and, as a bonus, the previously slippery wood is no longer slippery! We’ve always been satisfied with the quality of your paint and this stain did not disappoint.

After i cleaned the planter box and let it dry, I applied the olympic maximum stain and sealant. the wood planter drank it up and it dried to a nice finish with a nice stain tint. it seems to be holding up well to the elements. thanks

I really like that it works in all types of weather, down to 35 degrees. And it will be ready for the rain or whatever in 8 hours. The SunBlock UV and enhanced water proofing protection will help your wood last longer. Super easy to scrub and keep clean throughout the year. We covered the entire 12 by 12 pergola with less than a gallon of this stain. It looks great, and the carpenter bees no longer find it interesting.

Color was labeled as clear on can and turned out to be an unsightly golden yellow. It is heavily pigmented and should not be advertised as CLEAR. Extremely disappointed to say the least. Totally ruined my new coop, extremely disappointed.

Olympic is the most expensive item on the Home Depot exterior stain shelf. But the results are very disappointing. I stirred it thoroughly and followed all the preparation instructions for my new cedar deck. However, the color is so inconsistent throughout the deck surface. You would think clear finish should leave the most unnoticeable marks at overlapping areas. However, the dried surface is scarred with light and dark spots everywhere. My new cedar deck is so messed up, will have to restain.

Easy to use with Graco airless sprayer. Applied to Yellawood as soon as fence was up. Their website disspells the myth that you have to let their product "dry out" before application of stain. If you wait you will have cracked and shrunken boards.

My husband hand built our children’s play set spending countless hours, days, and money to surprise them. When it came to staining we purchased a 5 gallon bucket and a one gallon tin of Olympic Canyon Brown. The stain, even when mixed properly, changed colors WHILE IN THE BUCKET AND TIN! My husband was devastated by all his hard work to have our swing set 5 shades of color. This is beyond a disappointment.

I power washed, then scrubbed, then washed again on my treated deck. Once the deck dried some I applied this sealant. Next day it’s waterproof. I’m adding a picture of the treated wood and the treated wood with sealant. Will follow up periodically.

I rebuilt my deck in 2017 and have been using this product ever since. Like any product the results are in the prep and application. Each spring I have sanded the deck with 150 grit sandpaper, thoroughly cleaning with deck cleaner and the following day applied this stain/sealer Olympic Maximum clear with a roller. My only complaint is that this stain only lasts about 6 months. A few things I have learned. A roller does not thoroughly get between the space in each board. You have to use a brush to do that. Also don’t put this on real thick. I have found that after brushing or rolling this product take an old towel and wipe it down. This year I again cleaned the deck after 6 months in the Fall and put another light coat down. Hopefully I won’t have to re sand in the spring and just clean and reseal. This is NOT clear. It gives a yellow color

I purchased 33 1-gallon cans of the Olympic clear stain the summer of 2021, now I have mildew all over the fence 1 year later. I feel misled because it indicates on the can of Olympic Maximum 4 years for a fence, and it is mildew resistant - well it is not I put the Olympic deck clearer on then sanded the whole fence down then pressure washed it. I let it dry for 2 days then I rolled the stain on both sides of my fence. First of all, the fence looked great once I put the stain on. Got lots of comments on how people loved the color of the stain I used. I wish I had used another stain, but I feel like I was misled because the can indicated 4 years for a fence .

Since Olympic changed the formula a bit, the color (to me) is GORGEOUS! Its not as dark as the original formulation I purchased a couple of years ago. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I’ve included the stained board and the ones which WILL be soon stained in the pic.

Been using this on my Douglas fur wood decks in the mountains. It has provided outstanding protection and it looks great!

I am very upset that I spent 140 dollars on stain that looks nothing like the picture online! I totally understand colors looking slightly different in pictures than when you actually use them. However, this is the worst representation of a color I’ve ever seen. In the picture it looks like a slight grey tint. Not what you get at all! It’s completely grey when applied. I wasn’t looking to go so dark just yet. I’m very unhappy! I hope to be contacted by someone to make this right somehow!

Gives our deck a nice color and coverage! We had it on less than 24 hours when an unexpectes rain moved through and it beaded up nicely. I will say if you have new wood thay gets a lot of sun expect it to not go as far as the can says and budget to buy more. We ended up needing 4 cans when per the can coverage directions we should have only needed 1.

This stain works great and the walnut is a nice color!
