This product was easy to use, looks great, and water beads up on it beautifully, letting me know my finished project is protected.

Went on easy and looks great. The maple brown looks very natural. The semi-transparent allows the grain to show through but darkens the wood a bit. I used a synthetic brush and I recommend it.

Easy to apply with garden sprayer. Also easy clean up. I used three gallons for 100 lineal feet of six foot fence. About half of it got two coats.

I stained 4500 sq ft of fence (350’ back, 400’ front) Harvest Gold The posts, stringers and 1200 sq ft were treated pine all the rest were 6” cedar. All but a 50’ section was new (seasoned 3-6 months). I planned for coverage of 266 sq ft / gallon...boy was I wrong. It ended up being about 175 sqft/gal. I used a metal Chapin sprayer with a fan tip; that worked really nice. You will need a 5 gal bucket and a drill mixer. I mixed up 2 gallon batches. Took me about 8 hours.

I was disappointed initially when I found out you weren’t carrying Thompson’s anymore as I’ve use their Maple on my fence for the past seven years ..Upon finding out you know longer carried it I had no choice but to try Olympic, so I color matched it to the cedar and was more than satisfied $ it was 10 times better than the Thompson’s and I will continue to use Olympic every year forward !

If you are considering Olympic Waterguard are a wood protectant, I highly recomend you don't buy it. It has very poor penetration qualities, causing it to be extremely time consuming to apply. It simply beads up on the surface and drys out. If you plan on applying it to a vertical surface like a fence, I suspect if will simply drip off before soaking in. I'll be taking mine back and asking for a refund.

excellent product. I put the stain down on my deck during the day, 5 hours later it rain heavy and the stain was still perfect after the rain.

Worked great on an outdoor chair with semi porous PVC / wood material. Looks like new and expect the uv protection will keep this chair looking great. Pleased with the result.

Nickelodeon clown paint. I was shocked when I poured some out. Thankfully I put it on a test board and not on my fence as planned.

It made made fence look great. It still allowed me to see the natural characteristics of the wood and gave it a nice stain of red. The product also went a long way. It took me like 7 gallons to cover darn near 200 ft.

This is a good wood protector and sealer that can be applied with a brush, roller, or sprayed on. I did a test area on the steps to my deck and used a brush because that was the easiest way to apply in a small area. When I do my entire deck, I will probably use a roller for faster coverage. The sealer is a milky white color out of the can which makes it easy to see where I applied it. It brushed on easy and soaked into the wood. After a few hours I checked the steps and the milky white had cleared and there was a nice waterproof sheen to the wood. I will be using the rest of the can on my main deck surface. This stuff cleans up easily with mild soap and water which is great; no stinky mineral spirits needed! I would recommend picking this product up in the store as opposed to direct home shipping as my can arrived crumpled and almost crushed but it was intact. In summary, this is a good waterproofing for wood that applies and cleans up easily.

I used this clear wood sealer on a wooden deck car trailer with great results. I was worried at first because I had sealed the trailer previously with an unknown sealer. This sealer went right on easily with a roller on a broom handle. It rolled right on and soaked in very quickly. We had pop up showers that afternoon but in the 96 degree weather the sealer was dry to the touch very quickly. One gallon went Alot further than I thought it would, I will definitely use it again on my wood retaining wall. I did not attempt any cleanup because I threw the roller and pan away after use.

Very easy to use and has no noticeable odor. Looks like a watery milk and goes on very easy using a foam roller or brush. On redwood and cedar it was quick to penetrate into the wood and has noticeable sheen unlike some amber colored oil based sealers. I'm curious as to the durability and how well it protects from rain and snow. And the uv protection from the sun. I think 2-3 initial applications. The fact it has no noticeable darkening of the wood makes this my choice.

I like the waterproof sealer because it doesn’t really change the color of the wood it just sheds the water off. As long as you can keep the water from soaking into the wood it won’t rot. I also find this works better than paint or stain on a deck because that always seem to peel off. It is also quicker to apply it because it spreads and soaks in well. The one area this doesn’t work so well on my deck is right by the house where it is shaded and there is some old paint on the deck boards. This stuff gets sticky there so I don’t normally use it right up to the house. I don’t find that this stuff works as well as the old oil based stuff, but I like that it is soap and water clean and probably better for the environment.

Thought it would be darker but still worked.

No problems with it. I applied two coats to the floor of my new trailer and it looks great.

We loved the color on our fence! It was somehow easy to apply and the coverage is great. Let’s see how many years last. We used a clear one (same brand) about 5 years ago and it lasted for about 4 years so this one is supposed to last longer.
